  1. Hekpoort climb is always regarded as the make or break point on the 114km circuit. A few years back i was seconding the vets 30+ race and my rider David Labuschagne broke his shoe shortly after starting the race. He asked me to give him his "nike air" tackie and so i did, changed shoe and kept on racing. Approaching Hekpoort i thought his race would be over as the climb with a tackie would be too difficult, wrong he broke away and left the bunch in there tracks and he and his brother took 1st and 2nd. What a great day for the Cyclelab Vets 30+ Team Found the photo's

  7. When we started the Vori-Berg MTB races we decided to break with the tradition of a medal. The fist few races we handed out a pair of Vori-Berg branded socks, we then moved onto water bottles. The wheel has now turned once again and we had various requests asking if we could provide a medal. The result is that we now offer a medal or water bottle to all finishers. I also have a box full of medals that i collected over the years. The company that provides our medals also had the contract to provide the medals for all the riders of the Tour De France 2010. I was able to get my hands on one of these and is being well used as a paper weight as it is quite heavy. Will try an post some pics

  24. This Pinarello Treviso SL has been with me since i started cycling in the late 80's She sure does need some attention to restore her to the original condition when bought in in 1989 for a whopping R 5500-00. The little cuplprit "tweety" who was responsible for removing the handle bar tape.
