  1. Happened to me as well, I just assumed I didn't start it properly. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. OK been using the M460 for 2 weeks now. Takes a few seconds to find GPS after going into the training menu. Slightly annoying maybe but I'm talking less than 20 seconds at most, and maybe around 5 seconds at best. Fully customisable sports profiles and display options. At the end of a ride the sync process takes about 2 minutes with phone. It sync's everything: rides and settings. I haven't needed to plug this into the PC other than the initial setup. Customise the device on the Polar Flow site and then sync with phone and everything sorted. I've used the Smart Notification on the last ride. Novelty is still there, might switch this feature off if I decide it's not worth it. If someone urgently needs to get hold of me they will phone, and I can hear/feel my phone ringing anyway. Knowing that someone sent me a whatsapp is about the most useful thing I have seen so far. Once its more than one message it just says 2 messages received (as it does on your phone's notifications). I like the Polar Flow website's presentation of the information. Training load, Heart Rate zones, etc. What I am dissapointed with is the fact that there are only Running programs available, and not cycling programs. So you could say you are training to take part in a 40k marathon and the device will be loaded with a full 12 week training program. Would be useful for cyclists as well. The little light in front will only be useful if your main light somehow stopped working and you are riding in darkness. I don't think anyone will take note of such a small light once you are in dawn/dusk conditions. I've turned it off. Battery performance has been good. I've used it for 9 sessions totalling around 11 hours since the initial charge. Only the last three hours were with Smart Notifications turned on though, and 2 hours of those 11 were done on an indoor trainer, so GPS turned off as well (via the sports profiles). I haven't enabled the Strava Live Segments, so cannot comment on that. Am not riding with cadence sensor. I have never used Garmin devices so cannot do direct comparison, but for the price this seemed like the best option and I don't have any regrets yet.
  3. I just got one, must still take it out on its first ride. I've been using the H7 strap with my phone (in back pocket) for the last while to get points and strava connectivity. Figured the strava live segments would be more worthwhile to me than navigation. Needs a premium account though. Will let you know how it goes once I've actually used it.
  4. Looks like no chainsaws required Need assistance with shuttling people?
  5. Fasting at the moment so not into hard labour. Could help with transporting people up and down in 4x4 if needed. Let me know.. wouldn't mind wielding my chainsaw either
  6. Going at 30km/hr into a car traveling at 60km/hr is the equivalent of hitting a stationary object at 90km/hr. Both travelling in the same direction and the impact speed is now reduced to 30km/hr.
  7. Anyone know how to enter the MTB race? I entered the road race as PPA member earlier this month but don't remember a MTB option. Guys are mentioning that they've entered both road and MTB, but there is no information regarding MTB race on the site. The old site also redirects to the current argus site, which just says entries are closed for the road event.
  8. Common - it would be awesome! Almost like starting an extra motor for the climbs. Except when you forget to undo it. I forget which chainring I'm in
  9. Vote to the Anthem X1, but an XTC is probably also a good choice. I think the Scotts are a bit heavier than the Giants.
  10. Can that happen with discs due to a buckled wheel?
  11. Right at the top, maybe that is DH3, not sure. When coming up form vasbyt you have the choice of going left onto the road or right through the forest. He decided to go straight ahead up that rough section (not sure how). This might help, although this is so out of context it may look like a hundred other places:
  12. Yesterday morning I advised someone that did not look like a beginner who was coming right up the top of vasbyt, slowly around that first berm. Luckily I was one of those that stopped at the beginning of the trail and did not just rail it down around that there else I would have gone straight through him as there is no where to dodge. When I told him about it he puled the earphones out of his ears and said he didn't know. I told him there's a sign at the bottom showing no cycling up and his defense was that it wasn't pointed in his direction.
  13. haha, I've also uploaded and am waiting for them to appear, hoping they're not THAT bad
