  3. Ok guys it seems like I am all sorted thanks to 'Jigghead' Thanks for all the responses.
  4. Its not a registered event or anything. Its just a mad group of people riding to Durban from Johannesburg
  5. Just my luck ! If only I could find somone like you in the Joburg side Thanks again !
  6. I am in Johannesburg..
  7. Hey man ! Thanks so much for the offer. To be honest, i feel way more comfortable and upright on my MTB (even though its not 'aero dynamic')... Thats why Im just asking for a wheelset . Thanks though !!
  8. I would ! But it will be easier for me to roll with bigger wheels..
  9. Hi guys, ive got a big 3 day road event which I have been training for. The event is in mid April.. I have a 650 B mountain bike, which manages to easily fit a set of road bike wheels. The problem is the roadbike wheels cannot take disc rotors. So the 29er wheelset I can just put on some 700 by 28C tyres, which will help me tremendously on the road. The front wheel needs a 9 mm quick release axle.. So if anyone is willing to lend me a set that would be great.. And ill ive it back to you as soon as the race is over. I dont even need a cassette or tyres. Just the wheels itself. Thanks
  10. Hi guys, do you think this setup would work according to the picture ? Its on my roadbike.. What I really want to know is, do you think ill experience chain drops ? Thanks
  11. So in actuall fact its not really "6 pounds then" ?
  12. Hi guys, i am planning on ordering a handlebar from CRC, the delivery is 6 pounds.. Will I get charged on import duties ? And how long is normal delivery ? Thanks

    I have shimano HB M525
  15. Hi guys, I am looking at buying a fork which comes with a 20 mm through axle. The problem is my front wheel takes the normal quick release axel. Will my front wheel be compatible with the fork ? Or will I need an adaptor ? Thanks
  16. Ok great
  17. Thank you. So its normal that the slx rear derailers do not come with barrel adjusters on the derailer ?
  18. Hi guys I fitted a new slx rear derrailer, and noticed their is no barrel adjuster. Is their another way to adjust cable tension on the derrailer ? Or must I use the barrel at the shifter. Thanks
  19. Thanks, and if its a long cage derailer.. ?
  20. Would appreciate the advice. Thanks
  21. Even though we do not know what truly happened, it is unacceptable to act in that manner. All they are doing is giving cyclists abroad a bad name. I can understand their anger, but you just cant act like that, you get what you give, and now this taxi driver/van driver will have a hate for cyclists.
  22. Thank you ! Ill have a look. But now I am just thinking of getting some high prfile 2.4 26er tyres. And ill get more grip with the wider tyres. But ill think about... Thanks for all the help
  23. Now Im abit confused.. Would their be a point of going for 27.5 wheels with skinny tyres as it seems like if I run high profile 2.4/2.3 26 inch tyres it would be the same as 27.5 wheels with skinny tyres..
  24. Oh awesome ! But if i fit a 27.5 wheel, according to your memory of when you fitted the wheel, will their be a sufficient amount of clearence so it wont clog up with mud on rainy days... Thanks
