  1. Agree, mental preperations is also important. Especially going down Helshoogte at +80km/h because of the wind and just holding still.... or is that holding on?
  2. All I can say is the wind is pumping in Stellenbosch. Small trees laying on their side. Strand Rd looks like it got pounded by a hurricane with all the debris. So happy we not riding today!
  3. Atleast its not today's Die Burger or one from last year.
  4. How long were you in the queue. I guess there is lots of advertising pamphlets in the bag?
  5. Last year I was there about an hour before the time. I started in K, and my chute was not even ready when I got there. Had to stand around and wait, and when we started my legs were dead.
  6. I've done lots of reading and watch probably all the vids on this bike, and reviewed all the price options... Just standing still, it looks fast!

  8. I use sinfrontal (homeopathic meds) when hayfever season starts, when its high pollen days, I take them regularly through the day. They help me a lot, although not bulletproof solution and just miss one day and you get hayfever. Haven't tried Adco-Ceterezine before, or more likely I am not sure if I have. I got some meds from the doctor last year to try instead of the injection. Didn't really help, although I did feel better and the hayfever went from mild to low levels. Problem now... with the race on Sunday... do I shock it out of my system, or suffer through it.

  10. Thanks SeaBee. I am getting hayfever late this year. Normally get it around September - October. Most of the antihistamines makes me drowsy or I feel worse for a day or two. I think you are only allowed 3 cortisone injections per season... Haven't gone yet, should probably go now, but already to late.
  11. What a week to get hayfever - hope to shake it before the weekend
  12. Hope you feeling better and have a good ride on Sunday!
  13. Thanks for organising the ride Wannabe, it was great. Good recon for this Sunday.
  14. Ek sien julle dan daar.
  15. Ok. Where the post boxes are placed or nearer to the garage?
  16. Thank you. I will be there, looking forward to it. I know where the garage is. Do we meet there at the parking lot, or somewhere else?
  17. Hi, I am new to this thread, but would I be able to join on Sunday? Will also bring a friend to join in.
