I left Durbanville in zero wind conditions. Got blown everwhere in the race, back in Durbanville and almost no wind! Tough race, just happy I got to ride after stupid hayfever and nasal infection. Could have been bettrr though. Now time to relax.

Nice race... no rain is a big win... BUT I have never seen so many rollers in a race before. Was interesting times.

Two weekends left before Die Burger Hope next weekend will be better weather for riding!

I have a 12-25 and a 11-27 cassette. I used to ride the 11-27 as it came with my bike. Then switched to a 12-25 a few months back. I can't say I missed the 27 gear - maybe on the steeper climbs a little, but there aren't many of them.

I have Mavic Ksyrium Equipes... Was thinking about Fulcrum Racings for a while, but in the end took the Mavics. Very happy with them.

I phoned cycle events about the csa license. Told them I was trying to enter but could not get pass the CSA license part. Another friend of mine managed to enter without problems. They manually entered me, I just had to pay. Which was also problematic, as I didnt get a confirmation email. There seems to be problems with the system. Suggestion: 1) Call cycle events and enter - explain the problem (011 707 4716) 2) Pay the fee via online entries 3) Check racetec if you are entered.

No this happened on the rollers between Nelsons Creek and Klapmuts. At the part where the shorter route riders join, I am always super careful. Especially going up the hill past the last water stop.
