  1. I know someone whose folks live there as well. Oh, and in keeping with the thread, my bike took me through a mud patch today.

  3. There you have it, Clint. Dunno about all cyclists, but this one sure is rude.

  6. I have quite a few pairs of Bondiblu's. And yes, compared to my Rudy's, I consider them cheap. Not only in price, but in build and quality.

    What a joke.

Not me. Search this forum, I've taken plenty flak for standing up for that very principle.

    What a joke.

My first thought was "so, Lance has room to keep his titles, doesn't he..."

Rules there are ā€œno groundsā€ to overturn lower court ruling Roberto Heras is once again the winner of the 2005 Vuelta a Espana. The Spanish Supreme Court has upheld a lower court ruling annulling his positive doping test and the loss of the title. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/spanish-supreme-court-restores-2005-vuelta-victory-to-heras
  10. Oh, ****! It gets worse. I feel so bad for Ballan. He's never going to race at this level again. Hell, he's never going to be the same person again. Guy's don't take life for granted. Alessandro Ballan may be facing the loss of one of his kidneys, after losing his spleen and fracturing his femur and three ribs in a training camp crash. The BMC rider had surgery on the femur Friday, his second operation within 24 hours. His spleen was removed in emergency surgery shortly after the crash. Ballan has been kept sedated Thursday night, but doctors expected to gradually return him to consciousness today if there were no further complications. The surgery on his left femur occurred Friday evening. One of the complications which may arise concerns his left kidney, which took a blow in the crash. ā€œWe did not give permission for him to be moved to another hospital because of that,ā€ doctor Kiko Llacer told Gazzetta. ā€œCurrently the internal bleeding has stopped and we are optimistic. But any further problems would lead to a decision to remove the kidney, which we want to and believe can be avoided, as in this case it would mean that his career is in danger.ā€ Keeping him unconscious is standard procedure after abdominal surgery, Llacer said. ā€œThis practice is also used to prevent the patient from suffering severe pain. Moreover, in the case of an emergency, it is better to have the patient already stabilized. If, as we think, there will be no complications, Alessandro can go home in a week.ā€ His wife Daniela has been the only one allowed to visit him. She flew from Bergamo to Valencia at dawn on Friday -- ā€œthe longest night of my life. I could not even close one eye. Her husband called her before the first surgery ā€œto tell me not to worry.ā€ After the second surgery, when she had seen him, she said, ā€œthe worst is over. Alessandro is strong, has a great temperament, and they are hopeful.ā€ Gazzetta also reported on details of how the crash happened, saying that Ballan was reaching down for his water bottle when the teammate immediately in font of him slowed down. Ballan was unable to stop, and still in the saddle, flew into the mountainside at a speed of 50-55 km/h. It is believed that the handlebars impacted with his spleen. He never lost consciousness and in fact walked to the ambulance.
  11. Not knocking anyone. Verniers and such seem like overkill to me. You will feel when shifting isn't smooth, and when it can't be adjusted away by the set screws on the dƩrailleurs, then look at the components. Of course, the basis for this approach is to be in tune with the kit, as in you can feel the bike and the ride, and can feel subtle differences changes.
  12. Daily?
  13. My 2c, that is garbage. You cannot determine cassette wear by naked eye comparison to an unused cassette. If you're going that route, you will feel the need in changing long before you eyeball will give you any hint.
  14. Yeah, but how far/how long? 5km/15mins a day wont do you well.
  15. You bought cheap, you get what you pay for.
  16. Not to poke a stick in the space jump guy, you know, the one that didn't actually jump from space, and didn't actually break the sound barrier? Anyway, I prefer this guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVUo5y5KRvI
  17. So, what's your point? Bondiblu's are cheap...

  21. Aw geez, not this **** again...
  22. I would say she needs tits and the pain will go away.
  23. Heh heh... Les Paul sounds like the original gay hairdresser...
  24. Amen! The amount of funriders and noobs you see stuck on the big ring is very disheartening. Before going for a bike set up, you should be made to go for a course that teaches you the basics, like spinning and how to sit a wheel properly!
  25. **** the view, I want to take that bike and make little fuji babies with it. One of the hottest bikes I've seen on this forum in a long time.
