  1. Hey Saskia Sorry for your ankle. When you're up and riding again we'll give you a Free 10 ticket entry to Hakahana just for your cool attitude, and to help get you legs back on..
  2. that i saw. must have been misprint
  3. Should have been 1340m
  4. i thought it was muggins
  5. No they weren't replaced...Sorry for your lost. You must have been seriously head-down.
  6. 70/40/20/10 are generic distances. rule of thumb is 10% either side. As you noted all publications regarding the actual route were 65k (including the profile) and Wessel strives to be within 1-2% of that for the actual race. Which BTW is very impressive (bearing in mind that things changed on the ground up till the last evening)...
  7. I used to cramp until I started eating less sugar and stretching well before and after any training. That all.
  8. Hopefully not.. We've tried to add dual-track to the serious climbs, and widened the path in many places. Lucky its not summer.
  9. and FYI the double red climb is now Hyaena 1+2, also for good reason...
  10. saarkies climb is now signed as 'Too Brutal'. The rocky drop is 'Tosca's Freepass', both for good reason. The upside down pics were otb on Mzili's Ghost..
  11. It seems the figures are not correct... Don't be fooled, we may have taken out some of the un-fun stuff but you'll still be doing close to 1300m...
  12. cant wait to see the motion version of the last image...
  13. cool pics Q. Thanks
  14. Looking for an entry for a mate. Half-Marathon. 0828896515
  15. Havent ridden VG Ultra but not dissimilar to the Monster or VG in general terrain. This years routes are our best to date. The marathon has a couple of well-spaced and tough climbs, each with their own serious downhill rewards after.... Also some pleasant surprises/omissions near the end bits.. The Half- is a challenging but flowy trail throughout, with chunks of virgin new sections made for the event.
  16. YEH SLIIICK. Please stop intimidating my riders.
  17. A few surprises... Mostly we don't need to build features as there are so many natural ones!!
  18. Ja, that would be a bit quick for this course...
  19. Hey Grant. All i can say is we have done hours and hours of prep to make both the 70 (65) and 40 (37) hugely enjoyable rides. Although the 40 has been 'softened' a bit it is still a good challenge with loads of singletrack. The 70 is a meneer but worth the effort...
  20. Its not the first time this phrase has been confused...Enduro vs XCM lingo? And yes Sean, plenty you havent seen yet...E-lines 9,10 and 11....??
  21. too far away for your third line... we'll make something closer. ANother plan
  22. and me!. BTW like your tagline
  23. Muggins my trailbuilders managed to create a rideable (albeit steep) path by removing most of the rocks. Amaizing. Just make sure you drop your seat or hang over the back.... I may go after the race and re-create small sections of the rock garden. but its a sublime ride that just needs riding.
  24. done. Will try put a little vid together too.
