  1. No sliiick. This is the new kloof. waiting for you to heal first...
  2. Hey gred Hey Muggins you missed a good outing. Ended up 20 or so. Am definitely going to set this up as a new format. Really nice to ride in a bigger group..Ages from 15-50 years
  3. Saturday's ride 21 June: Hi guys. Ride off at 08h30 sharp tomorrow. Anyone welcome. This is just a easy-paced ride to experience the new trail section... PLEASE NOTE** Parts of this ride are being permitted by landowners on condition that I am present on the ride, So we will need to hang together until we are through the 'off-limits' section after which you are free to follow any of the other trails at your own pace. Ie. finish Rinkhals, add Red or take Blue home and have some fun on the 5,5km XC track (which forms part of the final stages of the Half-M). The new trail is no longer in the Half-M but worth the experience anyway...Latecomers will need to catch the group before the top of first climb to Rinkhals

  5. I also chose VG as my debut marathon a few years back....mmm. Wise?? choice. Just don't get caught up in the mad RUSH after start. Ride you own pace. Take it easy at first. Awesome achievement...best of luck...At least its not summer.
  6. ... Routes change until the last few days sometimes before an event, no matter how far ahead you plan. Thats from the trail side and is brought on by unpredictable landowners or other last-minute unforeseeables... Thats why we don't issue gpx files...Ever. I'm still amazed that Advendurance manages to handle all these events simultaneously (considering route final prep alone is at least 2 weeks on each) and still publish, well beforehand, the routes and profiles at 98% correct... Cant get much better than that!!
  7. two-nek Saarkie?
  8. Hey sliiick. yes for sure. The marathon uses Rinkhals drop-off (which is mostly Line A), but bails before DVD. And Kennel switchback is mostly Line B. So yes again..
  9. Half-marathon: Not red, but black, plus a new black....Sublime Trail...need to be strong. Ripper of a down.. What I can say is most of the effort is the first 15km, after that its a great, flowy ride almost entirely on singletrack, with a few tweaks. ..
  10. 650-700m, at this stage
  11. Great, cos theres a new one too.
  12. Remember to enter early.. http://www.trailseekerseries.co.za/entries/trailseeker2
  13. These ACAJOE jackets are the bomb in this cold weather!!
  14. Just over 5 weeks to Hakahana Trailseeker #2 - 5th July 2014. There is till time to come try out the trails and get a glimpse of the race terrain before the big day. Open weekends. See www.hakahanatrails.co.za.
  15. Mens L Salomon 2014 jacket to swop for mens M???
  16. Shame mate, but did give us all a good laugh on the night
  17. Was my first sani. JEEEEZ what a ride!! Glen has put together quite a thing over the years, but most of all it was an awesome ride. Can't wait to see some of the footage of bombing down the Crooks descent, hooking up right at the top in a train of 4 other maniacs. And Cheers to all the amaizing people there. Common cause where everyone is a champion.. Loved every minute.
  18. Trail. For FUN
  19. New back tyre... New chainrings & chain... Front forks re-serviced... Super excited to ride this legendary Trail.
  20. I like the 'give' idea, but i also like to ride an hour or so without freezing. I heard at the Epic this year they had a 'dump' somewhere enroute, but you get your expensive jackets back! Marketing gap?
  21. Must say, being a 'firsty' I was expecting a little more chatter/hype from the organizers in the lead-up. You get more info at the Swazi Frontier.
  22. perfect. Im on mountain king upfront and crossmark at the back. ta.
  23. Kinda thought as much. Thanks.
  24. My first Sani. Any suggestions on tyres?
  25. Awesome. flowy trail. I loved it. Rode with Dom, the trail-builder a few weeks back. A really creative trail, especially considering the 2% gradient. Across the river there is also some legendary track. Been back twice already... Its a welcome contrast to Hakahana's technical stuff.... Just fun, Flow. Bliss. Great at speed..
