  2. Sorry, the Cat's name is Powder, Siamese from a breeder she waits at the front door for me to come home every day, and is very vocal until she feels I have said hello to her satisfaction. Zoe is 3/4 Husky and 1/4 sheep dog, she is now a lot bigger than in that picture. We do have another cat Fleckie below, but pictures of her are as elusive as she is, she will make an appearance once or twice a day for food (if she has not hunted her own in the nature reserve)

  6. Nope, riders belonging to Teams registered with UCI and riders on CSA "Top Club" Teams can get a full CSA licence via the Team, as long as the Team is affiliated to CSA.
  7. I must agree the biggest threat to rider safety I saw was from support vehicles trying to keep up with their teams at all costs, passing 2 or 3 teams at the same time. If the teams did not have to pass each other (starting in seeded order) the team cars would not be such an issue.
  8. The reverse seeding just does not work for a Team TT of this sise, almost every team starts behind teams that are slower than they are so there is guaranteed to be a lot of passing, especially in the section from 1/3 to 2/3 distance. This is exactly were the narrow road between Montague and Ashton needs to be negotiated, and where the Team Car's come into play. Unlike CSA events where most team cars are driven by licenced managers who are almost all ex cyclists, DC Team cars are driven by friends and wives, and I saw a number of close calls with team cars passing other team cars and teams where it was not safe to do so. Start in seeded order, there will be almost no passing of other teams, the event will be a lot safer for all, each team will still be on the road for the same number of hours.... But PPA will then have to man the finish line for 3 or 4 hours longer, and that is the obstacle !
