have had steelite on 7 of our cars (work and personal) father inlaw tows a 3ton braked trailer with his hilux , mothers honda took a hit by a bakkie bull bar, we tow 5 mx bikes regularly . Perhaps have a look at them and inspect their work. Might have been a bad day. lol
i have travelled this road and the picture doesnt do the danger justice. Its a nice road where CAR users travel at high speed and CYCLE users taking up a whole lane. Single file or 2abreast not the whole ffing lane!!!

Must it be a brand new bike? Have a look at second hand ones, i know it sounds krap but believe me you can find alot of bikes for redonculous prices if you just look. I found a 2012 scott aspect 20 with one ride under the belt for R3500 and a merida 2011 tfs 100 for R3000. Both in brand spanking new nick. Do yourself a favour and get a good second hand bike and save the rest for kit.
I thought twin towers at Thaba was a steep climb untill a friend of mine suggested Comaro. Granted its road vs dirt but if he can ride out comaro i should ride out Twin Towers . As soon as we are fit we are going to enter one of the Kineticgear 24hours. Also busy enquiring about the Spartan series.
I Dont want a single speed just a 6 speed. Number 3 now and the cassette in the back. i just felt i didnt change down to 2 and 1. I will ride a couple more trails and CM on friday night and then see how i feel. My wife does not change. She is in one gear from start to finish
Cool. We are riding Groenlkloof on sunday so and then probably rietvlei in the week sometime.(Close to home). I just feel if im not changing them i might as well chuck them but maybe it was just the trail we were on. Thaba is not for the faint hearted. Got a shock when my wife came peddling up behing me grunting "trap ffkkiit trap" LoL
Howzit guys. Very new to the sport, (3weeks in lol) my wife and i rode Thaba (green) on sunday and i only used 3-1to4 and my wife stayed in 2-4. I want to know if it will be worthwile to make her bike a ss and also if it will be worth it to remove my 1and2 gears. basically leave the cassette at the back but have one cog in front number 3. ?? if so what would i need to change gear lever wise. I would obviously remove my front shifter and drealiur completely. Im a tad on the big side so i want to shave as much weight as i can without costing an arm and a leg.
I was diagnosed with Reynauds 8 years ago. You will know if you have it. Mine started out with little spotss on my hands and feet and then sore swelling joints. Its basicall frostbite. I drink cortazone in winter aswell as a cream perscribed by the doc. Lipo-something. White and yellow tube. Supposedly helps blood circulation in the are applied. Keep hands out of fridges, no cold drinks no cold mornings without gloves. Yours does look like a start although with My reynauds my skin stared cracking and bleeding accross my joints so i was sure. Just do not put it under HOT water at ALL. Just luke warm defrost.
My wife and i started riding a month ago and first ride out i was disgusted at the attitude of fellow mtb'ers. I rode motox and crosscountry for a good couple of years as well as superbikes and a simple nod of the head or lifting a couple of fingers (not the middle one) has always been a sign of respect or can i say achnowledgment that we are both njoying something of a smilar nature. But passing fellow mtb'ers i greeted every single group we passed with a "morning" "howzit" or some sort of greeting and passing by not very fast so im sure they heard me but no greet back. But the Arschloch's can pass my wife and wolf whistle of blow kisses or moch as if they are going to spank her. Now me being the calm natured person i am can also only take that much and turning around confronting a 5+ group of older guys seemd a good idea until i heard a familiar sound af a ratt ratt ratt tazer being pressed.
