  1. There is no one better than Werner at Dagley Cycles. He used to work for Omnico when they still had a JHB branch and probably knows more about a lefty than anyone in SA Blueberry rd opposite Eagle Canyon Entrance 0769217099 I,ve had my lefty seviced with them every year without fail
  2. This is my thinking and why I want to look into adding it to my policy.
  3. Do any of you insure your riding accessories (ie. Shoes, helmet, GPS ECT)?
  4. If your can't mix 11 & 12 SPD components. You must either get all 11spd or all 12spd. My opinion go all 11spd, there are plenty upgrade kits available new and used in the the classified section. #shimanoforfishing #SRAMforracing ????
  5. Hey all, I've got Wahoo Tickr HR monitor that I've been using for a few months now. All's been fine until Thursday night when it failed to connect to any of my devices, tried changing batteries, tried resetting it as per Wahoo Troubleshooting page, nothing seems to work. Have any of you have the same problem and manage to find a solution to getting it to work. It was purchased from another Hubber so I obviously don't have store warranty but who could I contact to try see about warranties? Cheers in advance D
  6. Everything you have should be compatible, I've been running Shimano cassettes with SRAM chains and shifters for a while and never experienced any issues. Rapide chainrings are great and run week with both SRAM and Shimano cassettes
  7. Hey guys, might sound a bit dof but it's there a Shimano compatible XD Freebody? I've got a Shimano m8000 hub and want to change to XD drive, I e read a few forum.s online but very mixed results. Give it to me straight Cheers
  8. Stolen: SILVERBACK SPRADA 1 2015 When: 11 November 2019 Where: Roodepoort, Gauteng Silverback Sprade 1 stolen in Weltevreden Park on the evening of the 11th November Burglars gained access to the property via the neighbors house. stole the bicycle and multiple power tools from the workshop area. Get further details about the incident in the Stolen Bikes section
  9. If you can comfortably ride the technical stuff at Hennops and keep your flow at modderfontein then this is going to be a good ride for you. They never make these rides to hard as they want the masses to enter but they do keep a level of difficulty to make it a mountain bike ride worth talking about. in the past times I have done it the only gripe I've had is the seeding and the fact the riders that cant keep their momentum and stop in the single track for tree routes end up causing bottle necks for the guys who want to get past. If you can put the hammer down in the first few kms and get ahead of the bunches. I'm keen to see the route, haven't done the MTB in a few years so lets go out there and have some fun!
  10. Hey all, A bunch of us have been keen to venture out to Hartees and back on the bikes but haven't been able to stitch a full (SAFE) route together. I've seen a few routes past the locations in Lanseria and past Diepsloot but not keen on getting bikejacked thanks. Is there anyone that has a proper route (preferably as much off offroad as possible) from Lanseria...ish or the Cradle to Hartees and back. We are all experienced riders so not to worried if it gets technical and fit enough to pull out a FONDO if need be. If you have a GPX file please feel free to pop me an email or via Whatsapp on 0823211261 and drkrul@gmail.com I'll use what you have and stitch it together with routes that we have have heading out from Muldersdrift. Much Love
  11. Thanks Lads, it was a spare that I picked up from a mate and was lying around so I thought I might get it repaired. I have thought about putting it on the GFs bike (there's no sprinting or drop offs being done on this bike ????)
  12. Hey guys, I've picked up an XT crank from a mate that had managed to strip both pedal threads ????. Is there anyone who knows how I can get these fixed or if there is anyone who can put inserts in? I've heard that helicoils work but are not very strong, What's your opinion? Feedback would be great. Cheers D
  13. Hi Johan, You are more than welcome to join myself and a few other that also live in and around Welties. We mostly ride from my fathers place behind Palm Court Shopping centre and head out towards ruimsig, northcliff, honeydew ect. We have been riding in the ruimsig area for a few year and know almost all the routes out there as well as a nice loop that goes out towards Tarlton. when we can/feel like it we will go on weekends out to a park somewhere in JHB. Most week rides are tuesday, wednesday and friday afternoons. If you keen to chat let me know. Darren - 0823211261
  14. Hey guys, Anyone out there know where I can get threaded inserts done for my XT crank. I've done a little research and a Helicoil and an insert are not the same (common mistake apparently). A Helicoil is not going to work on a crank because it's wire and will just pull out. Definitely needs to be a threaded Insert. Anyone in JHB that can help please. Cheers D
