Dura ace works very well loads of pro teams use it....if you want something lighter more comfy and a little bit better changing that da than go for red But dura ace shifts well its a bit more heavy but has been tried and tested and works well than go for it and save some cash....you can always get a carbon crank where you can save some grams

No it is definitely not something that should stop you from buying red!!! i think that you should rather go for red. Also no it does not need more attention

The noise that red makes is the same as record, when you shift gears it is a loud change and you can hear quite well that you changed gears......where as dura ace is very quiet when shifting
