  1. Centurion cycles sometimes drives through to 4ways to do number collections, but you have to provide them with your details (and CSA license?) in advance. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> It makes sense for a bike shop to try and attract customers this way (Cyclelab 4ways perfected this!) Why not talk to your LBS/LF&CS about organizing a pickup? I'm sure they'd see it would work in their favor if you bought your spares/gels/new bike from them when you pop-in for the numbers? Last time I called to enquire about this (Why not give Centurion CL a chance?) I was told that the organizers themselves dishes out the numbers, that?s why its only at 4ways...
  2. Same here - also had two sets with Shimano hubs with a previous bike - no problems swopping them ...
  3. Ah, another post to show my ignorance... <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I've recently added a set of Zefiro K52 clinchers to our set of toys. (Thanks Hype!!) The idea is that these would serve as "race" wheels, performing their duty on either a Cervelo or Bianchi, depending on the level of pooh I'm in with the missus... My pre-race bike checkup time has grown with about 30mins, owed to installing the race wheels on a bike and re-adjusting the derailleur stop screws and cable tension to align the gears. (Uh, add the same time at post-race setup for the indoor trainer...) Is it possible to adjust the three rear wheels so they fit perfectly irrespective of bike and wheel combination, without adjusting the derailleurs each time? Is it a simple case of adding a spacer to the cassette? Both bikes are Campy 10spd, Cervelo running with Easton/Velomax Vistas, Bianchi running with campy vento's, and the Zefiro's have American Classic hubs.Ntense2007-09-04 05:37:03
  4. I've got the Soloist Centaur, thus a Alu. Mighty stiff, and with the alu seat post, you can really get beat up over ruff surfaces. If you can afford the Carb, go for it, otherwise try to get the alu frame with a carbon seat post and you should be fine ...
  5. When you do manage to complete an Ironman one day, you would understand that every finisher is a winner, even if only in his/her own mind. The life of a Pro-Triathlete is an uncertain one, esp. in SA. I wouldn't blame Raynard for switching to a plasma if it meant being able to look after his family. That said, it is does seem strange seeing him on a Scott. I'm a devoted Cervelo fan and owner, partly because of his exploits on a P3!smileys/smiley2.gif To all who went down this year, I hope you found what you were after. Hows about a detailed race report? We had a brilliant day last year, but from the TV coverage of this year, it seems you guys had it a bit ruff?
