Hi all Got myself a Specialized Diverge Comp and been loving the ride quality whilst riding some dirt roads in the Berg. At the moment I have 42mm sawtooths on my bike and have to wonder if they the weapon of choice for gravel races in KZN. I see all the shops sell their gravel bikes with 38c and this is my question - is that the goto size for gravel racers or is it just like a starter tire which you customize to preference. I am a roadie so to me a low rolling resistance and good handling is king. I am very new to this sport and will be doing the berg 100 as my first race. Just don't want to pitch up to a gunfight with a rubber knive. Any advice will be appreciated! BTW i have bontrager paradigm 25mm rims

Just an update - bikelife sorted me out, excellent service on their behalf!!!!

I could not get hold of them. When I spoke to bikelife, they confirmed it as being true - they have closed and said the monies for servicing the bike was paid over to them. Haven't even had a chance to service the bike!!!

Hmm this is rather crap. Financed a revox 2013 ltd edition through them and part of the deal is that they pay the shop R2000 in bike service fees for me to have my bike serviced during the period at no cost! Now that is all gone???

Hi all I do paleo and ride hard whilst on this diet. I discovered a book call "the paleo diet for athletes" in there they explain hoe to go about making sure you do not hit the hunger flats. It covers from a 90 minute ride to multi day stage races. I do however use vitarga from usn in my bottles as it contains more bcaa than anything else and 30g carbs per bottle.
