  1. This is such a cool event. Here are a few pics from last year. Will be back this year!
  2. Thanks man. That build of yours is really awesome
  3. A while ago I decided to give my Morewood a makeover. Over time, the white frame started to show a few stains and pick up some scratches so it was time for a facelift. At the same time I changed the drivetrain to 2x10 and upgraded another few bits. This is nothing as extravagant as the awesome build Patches did but I still think it looks cool. A big thanks to all the Hubbers that helped with advise, sourcing parts etc. Here is a before pic. Morewood stripped and redone the powder coating. I did a DIY on the fork. Tyrone made these awesome decals. The result.

  5. Sorry to hear the sad news. Condolences to you and your family Anton.
  6. Best of luck man
  7. I have been lucky enough to source most of the parts I require (for a 2x10 conversion) with the help of some Hubbers and CWC / EasyBike. I really wanted to get a medium cage rear derailleur (simply for the additional ground clearance - I'm not to clued up on the mechanics of the different length of cages) but these seem to be in short supply from where I have looked locally and I settled for a long cage. Its what I currently using anyway.
  8. Great, thank you
  9. Morning Hubbers, I'm in the process of acquiring parts to replace the 3x9 Shimano LX drive train on my bike with 2x10. I have a few technical questions and was hoping to find some guidance here on what will work with what. Firstly, my bike has a threaded, external BB (RaceFace 73mm). Will a SLX M675 crank be compatible with this? I see these cranks ship new with the BB included and I just want to make sure the crank will fit my current BB (the SLX crank I found thats for sale excludes the BB). Secondly, I would like to install a SLX M675 rear derailleur (medium cage) with the M675 crank. Would I need a chain guide with this configuration? Thanks

  11. Thanks Hairy I think I'll try this. As the fork is white, I guess I'll have to apply a few layers of spray paint over the filler. Do you know if I need to treat the fork's surface with anything first or should I just be able to respray after the surface is cleaned properly?
  12. Hi hubbers, The crown on a 2nd hand Fox fork I purchased, was damaged due to bad cable routing. On a few places the powder coating has been rubbed away completely (there are even slight grooves in the metal) and I was thinking about trying to touch his up somehow. Does anyone know how to go about doing this? Is it a case of stripping everything to bare metal and redo the powder coating or are there other tricks to covering the marks? Would appreciate your advise!
