  1. My new ride in the UK. Nerve AL 8.9
  2. I had a LBS shop do it for me as I'm a bit ham fisted with tech stuff. I can hear that there is sealant in the tyre but I'm not sure the exact amount sadly. if the problem doesn't get much better after a few rides ill get them to put a bit more in.
  3. Thanks for the replies guys. I have noticed that the problem is not as drastic after I have been for a ride. Pumped them to 2.5 bar at 8.30am today and they still seem to be fine. The conversion was only done last week and iv only ridden twice since so ill just monitor it over the next few rides.
  4. I recently had a tubeless conversion done on my new bike that came with the following wheel set. DT Swiss X1700 rims Continental Mountain King front tyre. Continental Xking rear tyre. The front tyre goes from nearly 3 bar to flat in about 3 hours. The rear is a bit better but is flat in about 12-16 hours. I placed both tyres in a shallow bath and cannot see any leakage coming from the valve an and rim area. However, I do notice small bubbles developing all over the side walls of the tyre when its under water which indicates to me that it leaking out slowly out the side walls. My question is, has anyone else experienced such a drastic loss in pressure from these tyres, and is there anything else I should be checking for ?. If it is leaking out the sidewall, how do you resolve the issue ?. Iv had tubeless done on my previous bike that had Maxxis Crossmarks on, and those tyres could go weeks without loosing any pressure. Cheers
  5. Does anyone know where this was shot ?
  6. Which area are you in ?, maybe they are still on their way to my office....hopefully.
  7. Guess the race pack is not being delivered if it hasnt arrived yet, bummer
  8. Bought a 500 in August, one of the best pieces of kit to play with and the battery lasts a really long time. I charge it once every 3 rides or so. The Garmin mapping and analysis software is also really easy to use.
  9. I had an awsm ride. hardly had to wait at all other than at the RedBull section for a few minutes. Finished in Sub 3 for the 52km. I can see how the back groups got held up, lots of potential bottleneck locations. Some more lighting the tunnels would of made it even better, but it was still an awsm event.
  10. 6.30 in G batch for me, looks like its going to be a long day with some of those other start times. Really looking forward to it.
  11. Hi Guys. This looks like an appropriate thread for my following question. Im moving the UK at the beginning of next year and im looking to get a trail/enduro bike with 150 to 160mm of travel. Iv seen a few bikes on chain reaction cycles such as Nukeproof an Commencal that look like they are going for a reasonable price. I just wanted to get you guys that are in the know when it comes to enduro opion on the brands, and what i should be looking for. Im clueless in the area of MTB's I really like riding technical stuff and jumps but my current marathon racing bike doesnt like the big jumps to much. It looks like the enduro/trail scene is huge over there compared to marathon scene so im thinking of changing my riding a bit and moving over to the baggie short clan
  12. Doesnt look like action photo is an SA company.
  13. Does anyone where we can get the get or see the photos that were taking out on route ?
  14. Did a 3.47 from H batch for my fist Marathon race. Was an awesome route with a great mix of everything. Pity about the delay to get out the venue though.
  15. Iv got a Fizik Tundra 2. its comfortable for a ride up to about 2.5 hours but after that I start to suffer from the dreaded numb nuts. Thinking of changing to somehing with a centre cut out.
  16. In the bend of the knee in between the 2 tendons as well as the left tendon.
  17. Thank you for the reply guys. Im sure its not my saddle height as iv done 1000's of km already without an issue and also had my bike fitted professionally by BikeFit. I did 45min on the Wattbike last night and seemed to be better so im just gonna monitor it over the next few days.
  18. Iv been traing over the last few weeks for a MTB ride in doing from George to CPT. I havent been doing huge amount of training, just a few spin classes in the week and 50+km rides on the weekend. Iv been feeling strong on the rides and think im in semi fair shape for the ride. However, yesterday I went for a training ride that included the Breedts Nek climb near Harties. about 10km into the ride I started to develope pain in my left leg behind the knee which iv never experienced before. The pain wasnt excessive but it was affecting my pedal stroke and I wasnt able to climb and ride as well as i wanted. I can still feel the pain in my knee today but its not to bad. What im asking is if anyone else has experienced a sudden onset of this type of pain as in my case and what the possible causes and solutions are ?. Im 3 weeks out from the ride so Im keen to have this dealt with asap. Have a good Sunday.
  19. Looks like the second option has slighly better specs, but the first one would be probably be better for stage racing.
  20. Fly KLM on your return Journey, the airline is average but most importantly the flight arrives 10pm.... Never seen a customs agent there at that time in all the trips iv done.
  21. The Marks II and the Fit were basically the same price, will try the FIT one as well.
  22. So.. finally bought a tub of the stuff, Marks II from cycle lab. Did a 50km ride today and I can't say it made any difference for that length of ride. I was wearing a pair of brand new Assos bibs and they were super comfy so i think i might need to try out the stuff on a pair of older shorts, as well on a longer ride. P.S Assos make an incredible pair of bibs, I'm a fan, even though my wallet is not.
  23. according to all the pros and cons ,it Looks like i have to go buy 4 different brands now to see which one i prefer .. i thought someone would make this day for me hahaha.
