  1. Have you tried moving your weight back. The MTB Skills book I'm reading at the moment, encourages heavy feet and light hands.. Might help take some pressure off your hands
  2. +1 on this, I currently have the choice of so many cycling apps to track riding, took me a while to settle on endomondo, mainly because it was so stable, but then upload to strava to see the social aspect, I did find nice features in all of the apps, but couldn't find one that combines everything thou in one complete app. If the app is going to be particularly for South Africa, I feel the suggestions of having ratings of the local trails and races would be something unique.
  3. Can anyone tell me where I can get the IB3 in Jhb? My LBS doesn't have stock, they phoned Parktool which also didn't have stock and neither does buycycle
  4. Had no idea what to do with the Golf Mag.. Gave it to my wife's boss who I know still plays
  5. Racetime will fix my entry. Well done to them!
  6. They got my results all wrong.. I don't see ID numbers anymore
  7. Ah just found it, Its racetime.co.za
  8. I enjoyed this race, marshaling was well done! Anyone know where I can see the results?
  9. My shopping list for next trip to LBS 1 X Parktool IB-3 3 X Quick links for KMC-Z7 (2 for races, 1 for spares box) 1 X Car Shampoo (Good old sunlight liquid and water apparently isn't the best thing to wash a bike with)
  10. From all the comments, looks like I've found my multitool.. Thanks
  11. I must test it, would be nice if it is turn by turn
  12. Tried searching now for this, where can I find it? Powasol washed by bike at VG and said I have 75% wear, just would like to check it.
  13. Do you know how well the chainbreaker works on this?
  14. I haven't tried it yet, but from Endomondo you can go and create a new route on the website, save it then on your phone where it says "Basic Workout" you change it to "Follow a route" select the route and it should navigate you.
  15. So it will be for MTB, for those quick adjustments, I not going to use it to service my BB, And it would be nice to have a chain breaker.
  16. Thanks, Topeak and Lezyne do look like they good quality. Here is the one that converts into an inflatable raft! http://www.coolthings.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/alienbiketool1.jpg
  17. Hey guys I'm looking for a decent multi tool that will last. Any suggestions?
  18. Ah, I do remember something like that.. Thanks
  19. Why no sunlight?

  21. HI So I think this is the right place for this question.. I currently have an 8 speed Alivio on my MTB and would like to upgrade to something abit better, due to the budget being abit tight at the moment, I don't have that much to upgrade the entire group set, I would prefer to start with the rear derailleur, as it is the thing that does the most amount of work, so I feel. My LBS recommends I rather upgrade the shifter as they say that is more important. I'm been having abit of hassles with shifting the last few 100km's and I just feel its time to start upgrading. What should I look at upgrading to? The SLX seems nice, but will it work with my 8 Speed? Would it be the right place to start?
  22. Good Idea
  23. Took me two days to get though all these posts... I loved every minute of this race, From the big loose dangerous rocks to some of the best single track I've ridden. Seeding was great and most of all everyone was friendly... Enjoyed it much more than the cullinan. Only thing I would of liked to see was some sort of rehydrate station at the end, with some shade and water, like the monster Otherwise fantastic!
  24. Would anyone be so kind as to "borrow" me there GPX file from the 1/2 Marathon, I finished around the 2:30 mark and my phone didn't record a thing..
