So you think you can cycle!? I have learnt a lot about handling and cycling in traffic with my part-time employment as a bike courier. This is the Bullitt made by Larry vs Harry. This is the standard drive version that can get pretty tricky when fully loaded. In a single run, I can deliver up to 25 packages ranging from beer, wine, food for the elderly, clothes, books and small parcels. Last night I had 3 cases of beer and 4 boxes of wine in the mix. In a headwind, it is tough to get going but after that, it smashes through. Sharing bike lanes is tricky as I cycle faster than 95% of bike commuters and need to overtake in order to make time. When you point the Bullitt down the slightest hill it is like steering a powerboat. I cycle about 10-15 hours a week with the Bullitt and the commute to HQ is 10km each way.

I wouldn't mind giving the South Easter a go again. Some cyclists hate wind but I find it fair game. It keeps the air clean!

A little weekend trip to Eifel Germany. First stop Lunch in Aachen Base Camp in Hammer Eifel. Day two the ride around Eifel. Some gravel griding. Pain starting to settle in after a few 16% climbs. Day 3 Sightseeing in Monshau. Cycling back on the Vennbahn in the cold and wet.

Cycled home from work at 22:30 in the dark and rain and cold. But that didn't bother me as I was out on the Bullitt making deliveries in this weather too.

Skater shoes work well too so if you have an old pair of vans or converse to use in the interim that would work better than stiff cycling shoes.

Knog Plus Needed a new front light for late commutes home. This is a great light. Pops on and off the fastened attachment with a magnet for easy charging.

Or buy a ground floor apartment!

Whatever! I amongst many Amsterdamers have to lift bikes up steep stairs after a gruelling session. Some rides I just sit on the stairs outside for a bit and if I'm lucky my wife will bring me a cup of coffee.
