  1. Thanks very much
  2. Can anyone pls advise whether Polar watches/computers are compatible with a Powertap - an Ant+ wireless unit? I searched everywhere on the net and could not find the answer.
  3. Yep, go to BMC in Woodstock. They just did mine and was an excellent result. Plan for about R1 500.
  4. You sometimes think its only here in SA we have an uphill battle as cyclists. Look what happened in this race.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/tayside_and_central/8054215.stm
  5. I'm worried about technical assistance. Does anyone know whether there will be mechanical assistance at the waterpoints and/or vehicle support? If my bike breaks its a moeroffa long way to walk...
  6. Reboot your PC with the Garmin connected via the USB port, i.e. keep it plugged in. That should sort it. Filamon2009-04-21 09:32:35
  7. After a hard slog finishing the Argus with a result I thought wasn't too bad considering the conditions, I found out to my horror that my time was not posted. I called Racetec and we established there was an error with my timing chip and it did not record my time! They offered to take my Garmin time if I sent them a few screenshots and hey presto! my time has been posted this afternoon! (3.19 in case you ask) Well done to the team there on a job well done.... and saving me countless blushes! My first interaction with them and the experience was brilliant.
  8. My sincerest condolences to the family of Craig. For what its worth... I'm sticking to my MTB for training and will only go on the road if its for a race. The sad loss of life is sickening and the way in which Capetonians disrespect human life blows the mind. Is the Argus worth this price?
  9. Multiply them together and you get the amount of people he has bullsh*tted with his cancer survivor stories and given false hope to. bit harsh colonel..probably lot of people been touched directly and indirectly by cancer in these forums. I agree. If anything this guys is focusing people's mind on the fight against cancer. colonel, what have you done for society on your bike?
  10. Thanks for the pics Ronelle!!! Labrats rule!! Did you hear Pickles shout at us when we passed you? BTW I know what you look like now.... your face looks like a camera.
  11. I'm in
  12. I cycled past the accident scene this morning with the Cyclelab club ride. Truly shocking to see a cylist lying on the side of the road with a blanket over his head. My heart goes out to his family and please spread the news so that this criminal can be brought to justice. If anyone knows Chris's family, it would be great to see if we can be of any help to them.
  13. Damn, guys this is always very upsetting. My heart goes out to his family...
