  1. Have you not seen people sprinting like they're in Paris for position 3876 in the CTCT or 947?
  2. Might as well compare him to the local kindergarten this year. The top 10 on GC aren't exactly the sports top 10 grand tour riders.
  3. ISN got it right with Woods by taking away his zip completely. Can't screw something up if it's not there
  4. Lets pretend that Pogacar is 100% clean for a moment... Imagine how crap it must be to never be able to prove it and for every performance to be ruthlessly scrutinized. It's impossible to prove a negative. So you kind of know that every time you put in a big performance, you're gonna get accused of being a doper, and there's nothing you can do to refute the accusations. But if we assume that he is doping somehow in some undetectable way, flip the kid has some real guts. For a 22 year old to stand on the biggest stage of the sport and perform the way he does knowing he's a doper and will inevitably be caught in the future when the technology to test for "XYZ drug" develops is borderline insane.
  5. Bump! Then we could use the "Dibs" system, and "Second Dibs", and "I'll take it if those guys don't take it". That system worked at least as well as the current one.
  6. Included in this should be what happens when I'm the seller, and someone has a written agreement with (messages) to buy something, and then just disappears. This happens a lot too, and it's a big part of the reason why sellers basically just sell stuff to whoever pitches first with cash regardless of what arrangements have been made (which is kind of what started this whole discussion). As a seller, I don't want to turn people away that are willing to actually give me money in the hope that the guy that told me he's coming on the weekend actually pitches and doesn't change his mind or find a better deal or get denied by his management. I think the current "rating rules" say that you only should only rate someone if you actually buy/sell something from someone, and not just if you speak to them and the deal falls through. Maybe @Matt can correct me though?
  7. @Nico van Loggerenberg ????This post should tell you everything you need to know. In a "forum-driven community", you can expect people to behave as if they're in a community. On a "market-place-driven-website", expect people to behave as if they're in a market place and shaft each other at every corner to maximize profits. This is the decision the admins have made, and now we have to live with it. But if you apply the Rouxtjie-Rule, you'll probably have more luck with your dealings on the classifieds. I forget the exact number, but basically only deal with people with a post count above 1000. Basically only deal with the "forum-community" members, not the "market place" members. But as an alternative to stalking the classifieds, if you know what you want, you can put up a "wanted" ad. I've always been pretty surprised by the response when I post that I'm looking for somethings. Also.... WOOOOOOOSAAAAAAAAA.... This is a sport we do for leisure. If it's causing you stress, you're doing it wrong.
  8. Wonder if he's gonna get fined for littering ????
  9. Next time... ????‍♂️
  10. Gonna call it now... Woods is gonna attack too early for the KOM sprint
  11. I'm so over hearing about ISN's zipless jersey. Bouhanni abandons.... Cav is gonna be sprinting against Froome in Paris at this rate.
  12. WVA for winning the stage in such a quick time?
  13. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTLp14MKDDU&ab_channel=CollegeHumor)
  14. Just turned on.... This tour really doesn't play by the rules. 32 riders in the ""break""??? That's not a break, thats a peloton. Average speed today is going to be quick. Cav is doing really well to be in peleton 2 though. Apparently Bouhanni is out the back and loosing time already? Not good with 4 categorized climbs to come.
  15. Another descent finish. Wonder why there's so few summit finishes this year?
  16. Woods crashed on the "melting tar". (But they just said the temp is 25 deg C???). He's not a strong descender though even at the best of times. I don't think he's a real threat for the stage today unless he opens a big gap before the last descent.
  17. Apparently its a hot day..... Good time to attack the Pog?
  18. Flip Woods could write a book on "how to attack too early". It seems every KOM sprint, Woods attacks with 350m to go, and then runs out of steam before he gets to the line
  19. I think I heard somewhere that he has a "bonus only" contract where he doesn't have a salary but gets paid for wins. Maybe thats why he's suddenly performing so well ????
  20. I'm surprised that it's only climbers in the break. It's only a cat 2 climb, so I would have expected there to be some bigger classic style riders making the break.
  21. Cav getting dropped..... I think he's safe on the time cut today, but tomorrow might be a problem for him if he has to push hard today. Stage 15 dtarts with a small climb where he might get dropped, and then there's a load of climbing to go. Getting Cav outside of time limit would be unpopular tactics, but also the only chance Matthews or Colbrelli have of green.
  22. Thanks. Just turned on. I feel like this tour hasn't followed the "norms" of the tour. French teams haven't put token riders in breaks. Breaks haven't gone early. No one has controlled the pelo. Cav has won all the sprints. Froome has been dropped by Cav on climbs. Ineos have had Movistar tactics. A "sprinter" won on Ventoux. Gotta say it's been much more exciting to watch than the usual Sky train on the front of the pelo for 200km
  23. Maybe everyone is equally cooked?
  24. Guess not much is happening in the tour with all this soccer chat?
