  1. That is correct - my estimation was based on the longer 60km route.
  2. Yes, you can subtract roughly an hour from your 947 time. At least it applies to my times.
  3. No MTB trails, only hiking trails. There is another entrance, more to the West of the reserve, off the R557. Much better to use Northern entrance as that gives quick access to the parking area and bathrooms.
  4. Sorry, no derision intended! Even using blood concentration instead of urine, there are way too many pharmakokinetic variables involved to arrive at a blood content figure at a point in time. Also keep in mind substances cleared by the kidneys, first accumulate in the bladder over a period (which will vary according to person's hydration status) before being passed to the outside world. Concentration of urine (hence concentration of suspicious subtances) will vary greatly depending on one's fluid intake, which makes this urine salbutamol cut-off figure look laughably arbitrary and it should be contestable in Froome's case.
  5. "Chris' level was 2,000ng/ml - given that the average human has 5 litres of blood that is 10,000,000ng of Salbutamol in total." That first figure was reportedly a urine concentration - how do you derive the content in blood stream from a urine concentration? Rhetorical question: you can't. Stick to Danish.
  6. Try Metro Cycle Works, call them on 0169333187. I've bought single speed stuff from them, they should have cogs. They are open until 13h00 on Saturdays.
  7. You were right, my wheelsucking comment was stupid. Got my education over the last two years. Was blinded by Froome fanboy status back then.
  8. Not applicable to solo riders (like me). As a cycling non-apologist (and car/SUV/bakkie hater), the OP gets 1000 likes from me..

  10. Absolute genius, except why should I be excluded with my meagre 48 posts BUT I have 8 positive marketplace feedbacks against your ZERO? Feedback score is a way better (in fact, it is the ONLY one) indicator of a hubber's trustworthiness than his number of posts.
  11. I saw this GT cx frameset in an ad here on the hub about a year ago and decided that it was ideal for the SS project I'd been wanting to do for a while. Local bike shop built the rear wheel around an eccentric hub (White Industries) for me and the rest of the parts I had lying around or found online. I love this bike - have been riding it for the last eight months while the geared bike is hooked up to the indoor trainer :-). Hope you guys like it.
  12. Make that 0.2 c... Do we as cyclists have to do written and practical tests to ensure we are competent road users? I've had a driver's licence for nearly thirty years, so, no. Do we as cyclists display visible licence disks on our bicycles to allow us to be identified and held accountable? Accountable for what? Ramming into that speeding Fortuner with my roadbike and killing the driver and his whole family in fell fell swoop? Do we pay licensing fees for our bicycles to help contribute to the management and upkeep of our roads? I already pay license fees for two cars, so I have earned the right to 'damage' the roads on my 7.5 kg bicycle, IMHO.
  13. Not a million, just two: six feet under or the oven - take your pick.
  14. Also great value at $8250 in the US (see Giant's website); similarly specced bikes go for over 10K there. Should come in below 120K here. Still lotto money for me though.
