  1. Claudio's track previews are the best hahahaha. Greg will knock 'em dead!!!!
  2. I've been to Hakahana for the first time last weekend. It was brilliant! We only did the 4 special (enduro) stages but got more than enough exercise on the downhills and manual shuttling. The wall drop, rock drop and road jump are great fun. If you're looking for very rocky descends (and climbs) to sharpen your tech skills, go there, you won't be disappointed. There are also a few normal veld trails that offers flowing and less intense riding. I will definitely become a regular there! Here's a few bits of the trails, very shaky............... There are some nice views from the top of the hill.
  3. I've got the Garmin Virb Elite, very cool camera!
  4. Here's a compilation of the jumpy bits at Big Red Barn Excuse the cables, I still need to make a plan with them................
  5. Very good and thorough review. I've got the Virb Elite, use it on most of my rides. It works brilliantly. Takes very good quality vids on and off the bike and the editing sofrware is easy to use. I'm really impressed with the quality in very low light conditions.
  6. Haven't been there for a few months. Definitely going there now, sounds great!!!! Thanks to everyone for all the info. PS. Can't wait to get on Rosie
  7. Awesome run  Man you guys are lucky, I wish I lived down there!
  8. Nice washout! I also do the exact same thing hahahaha! It seems you are right. Enjoy the ride!
  9. Hahahaha that dog looks so proud to be sitting next to that bike!!! Nice pics
  10. Here's my pride and joy. I simply love it! Best features: Perfect geometry, stable single pivot, Nukeproof electron pedals, Rock Shox Vivid coil rear shock and the bombproof Rock Shox Totem coil fork.
  11. There's no need for bickering amongst each other. I don't see the negative comments as "hating", most of them are valid points that must be taken into account when riding, but some is also based on the lack of knowledge of the real time situation the vid can't portray. Although my short vid doesn't reflect this, I also take cycling safety very serious. The following facts can be taken into account when whatching this: This vid is a very shortened (cut-and-paste) edit of the entire run down Rubenstein. It does not even begin to give a true reflection of all the planning, practise, scouting, checking, waiting, braking, turnarounds, looking around etc. in real time that I do every single time I ride there (or anywhere esle). The action cam also makes things look a lot closer than they really are, it doesn't give a true reflection of the actual spatial arrangement of objects around you.
  12. Apparently you can connect various devices through wifi to the Virb as you ride and record, and sync their data later as well to overlay more info, but I don't know if you get G-force meters.
  13. Ter verdere inligting: Die Britte en engelse Suid-Afrikaners roep hom "pavement" :D
  14. Yeah that is very cool to have. I use the Garmin Virb Elite camera that comes with build in GPS. When you load your vid into the Virb edit software on the computer it autimatically syncs the GPS data and overlay it onto the vid. And you can customize the overlays to display what you like.
