  1. It's never a fun ride... Clearly you feel the same way with all the links to your "racing' in your signature
  2. Ultegra 11-28 cassette http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/shimano-ultegra-6800-11spd-cassette
  3. Just received two Zippering 120TPI tyres - will be thoroughly testing and will revert with verdict
  4. Seeding? When will we get it
  5. Race report up on Bicycling's website... http://www.bicycling.co.za/race-news/darling-brew-extreme-mtb-challenge-2016/
  6. My max in lab conditions is 195bpm. Out in real-world conditions it's around 187bpm. I'm 33 years old. It also depends how fit you are and level of fatigue which changes the entire HR range quite substantially.
  7. Are these in stock or will it have to be ordered via the online shop?

Dealing with the last remnants of a cold but hope to be at the starting line.
  12. Yes you get invited. However, you can motivate why you feel you have what it takes to do it. Like I said, it's never fully subscribed.
  13. 75km should be based on current seeding but what happens is the 75 never really garners much interest and anybody who feels they're fit enough and pays the fee can do it... Sadly. Last year when I did the 60km we passed nearly 20 75km riders quite quickly.
  14. I also used wet wipes and every other item you listed. The tests confirmed food poisoning> I'm staying in safe catering accommo next year.
  15. I don't know. I hope not. Got my tests back and it's the same bacteria that causes food poisoning. I was on a drip in a medi-tent for 3 hours. Spent 8 hours vomiting in the porta-loos
  16. I got food poisoning and couldn't start Stage 5. Bleak. Up to that point my 32T front and 10-42 rear was perfect. Already secured entry for next year as revenge. Have to finish what I started.
  17. Meerendal is my home trail. Consider what you've sampled on Wed good condition - it's usually in a far worse state. It always gets f;lack for being boring but it's fast, the climbs are tough and loose surface sees people hit the deck often. Be cautious but not overly so. We start at 08:21:40
