Best decision I ever made. In the week before I first bought my baggies I fell twice and tore two pairs of lycra. Not worth the cost.... baggies are a long tern investment. Comfortable, durable, non exhibitionist.....

Can't get over how sexy that damn bike is....I've been coming back to this thread every day at least twice just to look at it.... can't even imagine how often I would go to my LBS to inspect it if they were there

Once again, my limited tech knowledge irritates me and some hubber advice would be much appreciated..... What are the pros and cons between the abovementioned? I am between beginner and intermediate with regards to riding skill, so would moving from QR to TA actually make a difference to me?

The one at Giba is also A-Frame styled. Works like a charm.... also makes you want to "borrow" all the pretty bikes you could always run a current through the metal pipe....... should keep the kids off

Bummer.... that 30 is amazing. It was top notch the last two weeks. Perfectly dry but not dusty.... definitely where you should plan your next trip again late afternoon or on rainy days the locals seem to disappear into thin air. Even the Hadidas that plague the polo field seem to spontaneously combust in the afternoons, nowhere to be found. Anyway, I'm rambling. At least you got to do Giba.... also good fun, but hey, it's no Karkloof (I may just get murdered in my sleep seeing that this is a Giba thread)

Did you get around to Karkloof? Did the 30 again yesterday and it is absolutely epic! Hair raising on some of the rock gardens and Carnival if you have never done it before.... but there is definitely a reason why that trail is rated so highly..... really is amazing.

Rode Karkloof, Howick and Cascades in one day...... the joys of living in Pietermaritzburg. Happy days.

Thanks guys. This is a lot of help. Anyone have anything to add on the Wide Lightnings? I will probably have to choose between them and the Flows.... what would a good price for Hope hubs be?

Thanks guys. Still can't decide. The Wide Lightnings look amazing, and all the reviews just say good things... I have a chance at buying the arch ex on the hub for 3800.... with XT QR. Or I could buy the Flows new with Hope hubs and have a warranty and then don't have to worry about secondhand wear and not knowing what I'm buying....
