  1. For all those people driving to Sun City for the race on Saturday be very carefull on the N4. The Chrome Lorries move over to the left of the yellow line to allow you to pass and when you are next to them they push you into oncoming traffic. Happened to a friend this morning who uses this road on a regular basis.
  2. Please post url link for CRC
  3. Try MBizi in Bela Bela. Fantastic place. http://www.mbizi.co.za/cyclingfan2009-07-30 03:25:07

  5. I can get a new GaryFisher mountain bike with a Dart1 shock and Deore gears for 3500 is it a good price. It has V-brakes. Not sure what model it is but I know it is not 2009. Me and my husband want to take up MTB is this a good bike to start with.
  6. Good idea BumpNgrind. The way I see it, it doesn't matter on what side of the road we cycle, cycling is a dangerous sport but let's try and make it safer by sticking to the rules.
  7. So! If you get hit from the front where are you going to ride then?
  8. Friend of mine was taken out by a cyclists 5o'clock in the morning riding on the wrong side of the road. He had the audacity to tell my friend it was his fault because he did not make way for him. Needless to say my friend landed in hospital.
  9. I had an adjustable stem on my bike Paul also removed some of the spacers. Dropped my seat with 1cm. I did a 50km ride yesterday to see what it feels like. What a difference. I don't want to jump to conclusions to quickly but it felt like I was pedalling with less difficulty. My hands got a bit sore where you grip the handlebar. Only big problem is I got a lower back pain afterwards instead of the shoulder pain but won't worry about it to soon. I first want to do another few rides to see what happens.
  10. Yep it's true. Got the new tarriffs for fines but it is to long to post here. e.g. Pedestrian or cyclist disobeyed regulatory sign<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> R 100 The new system's name is Aerto. It is only effective in Pretoria and Johannesburg. But if you get points against you it goes on the licensing system on your car registration which is used country wide. 15 points and you lose your license.cyclingfan2009-07-09 06:31:56
  11. Had it done in Benoni at Pro-Cycles. Was R500. A lot of money but if it helps for my back pain it was worth the investment.
