Ok, I found another 32 hole hub in my box of bits so that is going on there.

With a preload adjuster the end cap would sit slightly further out yes? Maybe i'm just missing that.

Cool, I shall go on a road trip, I think Ballito is my closest. I have found a bunch of people on the net who have similar Roval issues, apparently there are many many end caps.

Both sides are a different fitting so cannot unfortunately.

It does seem to be non boost but I now believe the end caps are wrong. Any ideas where to get the right ones?

The thread there is the end of the thread sticking through the hub. The disc is flush.

OK, hard to see but whole wheel is a bit off centre towards the brake side.

It's tight but but I don't need to force the fork legs apart. Will take now Not yet, no.

I'm thinking some light filing on the brake mount may be the easiest option, looks less than 1mm and it's only in a small section.

Definitely TA. Shimano SM-R176-M. I have tried with another brand and same thing. It is. Writing on the outside. I did also try mounting it backwards just to see if it would give slightly more clearance.

Will do, from which angle? They don't fit the other way around. No idea, I assume the bearings (or something) screw in. End caps fit snugly, they came with the wheel.

Both non-boost Have both, they don't fit the opposite sides. Yes, touches even with no caliper.

So I have a Fox F32 (Evolution series) and I have a nice carbon rim on a TA hub (looks carbon but could be a sticker). Everything should be happy but when I put them together the disk makes contact with the fork. I think about 1mm sideways and it would be fine. Other wheels are fine in the fork. Any suggestions? I can make a spacer for one side and grind down the opposite end cap but if there's a better way i'm open to ideas. I'll take some pics later. Using a very bent backup wheel in the mean time.

Giants are cheap and readily available. Keep an eye out for DMRs, they seem to pop up now and then in the classifieds.

I'm inclined to agree. Before I got back into riding, I went around Giba on my old 26er Trek 4500 complete with pogo stick fork and V brakes. I had a ball.

Giba is twisty and tight, perfect for slightly smaller wheels and a bit more travel. But SA is stuck on 29er 100mm hardtails as the answer to everything.

The Olde Duck has great burgers. Also a good place to end riding. Animals and play area for the kids too.

So it's still there, I have started a 27.5 project so less bits that I could use. It has 1x11 SRAM American classic wheels Reba fork Sram brakes If anyone is keen let me know and we can hopefully do something. Otherwise i'll put you in contact if you want the whole bike.

Put up a wanted ad. I have a BMC rear triangle. A lot of people keep the unbroken end in the hopes of finding a replacement.

I've just bought a Trance frame and struggling to find non boost thru axle wheels and a fork at sensible prices. I think I may just stick a 29er fork in it, not going to affect much. Apparently 27.5 2.8 is pretty much the same rolling diameter as 29 2.1...

Would need about R8500 out of the frame to make it viable if anyone is keen.
