  1. I seem to spend 80% of the time going up and only 20% going down, so I'll keep the barends. Anyway the bar is a carbon xc with a slight sweep so riser bar is probably not the right description. I'm enjoying, not selling

  3. Hey Boarder, Sweet ride there, my Ellsworth Epiphany has a xc build to it and weighs more or less the same as your shova. Here in the RSA people are so hung up with weight, but personally I reckon that a 12,5kg trail bike that climbs like a goat and bombs down singletrack would a fantastic bike for a race like the epic.

    My ride!

Fakes, you got style my man, very very nice
  5. I don't know how you can make a decision on a frame without trying them out, both frames would've been designed with a specific rider in mind. Even if 90% of the people on this forum believe the chumba to be the better bet, you might find the geometry on the on one suits you better. In short demo before you buy
  6. Hi all, I can't get the ride height adjustment to work properly on my Talas, sometimes I can get it to adjust from 140mm to about 128mm, which doesn't make sense as the fork is supposed to have three settings 140, 120 and 100. Anyone out there had to deal with this, I'm hoping for a quick fix solution that doesn't involve stripping the fork down.
  7. Personally I think it's a no brainer. The xtc is a good hardtail, nothing more nothing less. The anthem is a legend that gives you the best of both worlds. I suggest you ride the same course with both, I put money on it that unless you a whippet (60 to 70 kg's), that you'll be quicker on the anthem
  8. If the cops won't assist, speak to a lawyer about bringing civil action against the driver for damages, at least this way they will be made to pay in one form or another Furthermore you probably won't have to dish out any cash, as the lawyer will agree to a percentage of the damages won.
