  2. The first ride went great she loved it
  3. Hi hubbers, does anyone know how is doing the work on the route running from Robertson to Ashton? Great job please PM me
  4. Thanks for reply want is the mail reason you would take IC420 above the powerbeam ?
  5. Hi Rich, will done on IM R500 paid in (FNB )
  6. You can't compare 24x36 to 34x42 He will work a lot harder 24 x36 = 30x42 your closes to a 2x10 (11-36x24/38) would be 32T
  7. Hi Ryan, I agree less is just simpler and in that lays the advantage. I hate shifting my front derailleur but thats just maybe me. I singletrack and technical stuff with your 11 gear you will have the right gear without also having to change FD. Most people complain about cost but that does not mean 1x11 is not the best option. If you cant afford it doesn't matter if it's the best. A lot off hubber rave about 1x10 and riding Epic on 1x10 .... how can 1x11 then be bad? If you have the money go 1x11 PS. and YES it look awesome
  8. I believe 1x11 is the way to go. 30t gives you the same ratio as 24x36 (Granny) but less top end
  9. PS I want the a PowerBeam Pro or i420 indoor cycle as I will use VirtualTraining
  10. Getting my X01 Monday can't wait. I went with 30T front for climbs but hope it will be enough top end
  11. G'day Hubbers, Could anyone please give advice on a PowerBeam Pro VS. i420 indoor cycle. I have very little IDT experience I only ride MTB so I think it would be good using PowerBeam trainer so I still sit on a MTB, while on a i420 cycle it is more road setup. But would you get the same training from a PowerBeam Pro vs. i420 indoor cycle. i420 is heavy so I feel you could work harder I don't believe cost would be that big differance cos if I buy a a PowerBeam Pro I would still want a new rear wheel with slick tyre + I'm running X01 so that means wheel with X01 cassette. Then also extra miles on your bike = servicing. And is it good to have your carbon frame clamped down while your going working hard on bike ...must be a lot more stress on frame?
  12. I also had the Quartz but S-Track is much nicer plus you can change part (you could not do this with Quartz if you bend the steel loop you had to replace the pedal) very easy to service all you need is a 19mm ring spanner.
  13. For me S track! Awesome pedals
  14. http://www.pinkbike.com/news/south-africa-calling.html
  15. +1 Momsen
  16. If I did not have a Epic (and completely BRAIN washed by Spez) I would look at Vipa seems like a great bike and with 1X11. But this is only based on reviews. Still have to ride one myself.
  17. +1 for Cyclefunatic and Deon does all invoicing via computer so you receive electronic invoice on e mail and if you go in to the shop all your invoices are on you profile ... Great system
  18. More Gerhard, How do you find the Tacx. I would also like to buy one but not really sure? In your opinion, and do you ride your MTB on it?
  19. I would also like to know what size your S-works are and what you are selling the junk for ?
  20. Only thing you and your sister did now with your dishonest dealings was make Specialized even more weary of people trying to scam them. So new time a honest guy walk in and says "Sorry but I don't have slip" they just turn him away. I know of Epic 2 frames that had small cracks in them ... they were exchanged no questions asked. Just think how many Specialized bikes get sold. There must be a lot off people that are just dishonest and try milk Specialized. PS I also own a pair of S-work MTB shoes and I really abuse them big time, but I've never damaged them from washing Does not sound right
  21. Agreed .... I'm not saying Specialized is the best out there but works for me .... And damn that s-works bikes are sexy WOW one day
  22. You are correct
  23. I love everything about Specialized, the ride, geometry, the design, the brain, the marketing hype and most of all it feels right when ride so way buy anything else if I happy with Specialized. I'm not going to stop riding Specialized cos the guys on TheHub say it just marketing hype and it's overpriced (i make that mistake one before) I'm very happy with my bike and will keep supporting Specialized till I feels it's not working for me. I also can't see that anyone that appreciate good workmanship can look at a S-works and say "no not nice"
  24. Yes, I like specialized
