Just another reason why the Hub forums have become a farce. Instead of seeing the post for the intentions that ScottyP had the forum members jump at the opportunity to attack him. Seriously guys, think of how his post could help someone who's had their bike stolen.

What if someone who starts in an earlier group says he is no longer doing the race and I can race with his number? Wil lI be disqualified?

HI Guys I have a quick question. Will I be disqualified if I start the Argus in another group than the one I am in? I would like to start the race with my training buddies who are seeded in a different group.

The most I do is about 60Km but increasing that every week. Maybe I'll give you guys a shout when my training has progressed a bit more. Thanks for the offer though,

To male and female riding abreast on the R304 between Cloetsville and the Bottelary turnoff on saturday morning around 8am. Thanks for making my ride more dangerous. Female wearing a grey wind breaker on a road bike and male with a red top on a mtb. Learn to consider other cyclists taking this more serious than you who are clearly out to just enjoy a morning ride whilst spoiling everybody else's day. I had to cycle on the right side of the yellow line to get past you. As a cyclist you should be aware of whats going on around you. I pity you!

Does anybody know if Polkadraai has been opened to cyclists yet. I tried going up from the kuilsriver side about a month ago and there was a sign saying "No cyclists beyond this point".

HI All Im quite new to cycling. Only been cycling for about 2 months. I have some difficulty standing up to peddle. When I do it my legs burn immensely and when I sit back on to the saddle I have to peddle slower just to recover. Is there a specific technique to it?

Ok. R250 is not bad. The way bike parts are priced I was expecting R1000 plus.

Uhhmmm. Im quite new to cycling so I dont know much about the parts. The bike has Tiagra groupset on if that makes a difference.

The sound is definitely not coming from the pedal. Sound is coming from the BB. Anybody have an idea of what a new BB would cost?

aha. thanks guys. I think I'll take it off this afternoon and clean it. Hopefully it just needs a clean/grease and not a whole new bearing.

HI All I need some help. I have a clicking sound when I pedal hard on my left crank. When I spin normally the sound is not there. Only when I pedal hard. Anybody have an idea what it could be?

Thanks hun. I only saw your message today. please let me know if you're going to ride again this week end. I average about 24 Kph on Bottelarey and my max distance I've ever done on 1 ride is 35KM. Would this fit in with your rides?

I got into cycling about a month ago and was also looking for an inexpensive quality second hand road bike. I bought a 4 year old Raleigh RC3000 on gumtree for R2900. Bike was decent and serviced regularly. It has a carbon fork and Shimano Tiagra groupset. A very decent bike for the price IMHO.
