  1. I thought the same.
  2. Stage 2 was insane, fast flowy and complete with eye level branches. Crow was yapping at my tail the whole way down. Flippen awesome. Will def sign up again. And start getting fitter. Those hills were not alive with the sound of music.
  3. I also got good service from Dial'd bikes. From initial query to my placing the order, they had great service. Will def shop there again
  4. I'm also hoping for some serious sections that need chicken runs for some riders. I need to get used to riding again after months of inactivity.
  5. I also got my confirmation email today
  6. Flip Iwan, that bike looks damn nice. and I'm thinking even better in living colour. And I'd go zeff on the accessories as well.

Yeah I'm pretty keen. I'm in Jhb from 1st Nov till 11th Nov, so hopefully its after that time. I got to hear of the Helderberg DH only on that Sunday while we were leaving Eden. So, maybe a silly question, but is advertising only on THSA?

Cool, thanks Cap. I like the sound of the Enduro type as well. I can add a few more riders to DH events

I have a little 6" Giant Reign. Do you reckon I and the bike would handle the enduro side of the trail? I love the Eden forest runs, G-spot ect.
  11. I recognise that bike! Great bike, and looks flippen awesome in living colour.
  12. That's a nice little birdie. I got the normal Reign.
  13. Nice CTMh - where did you find that? They are a bit like hens teeth second hand
  14. Where is this Bike Lane you speak off?
  15. Great vid!! Jonkers is looking good.
  16. Hi cptmayhem: maybe a silly question, seeing as i skipped a few pages to the final result - damn fine job by the way. Ahem the silly question is this: is it an alumnium frame? . I am thinking it would be cool to tackle my old steed and give her a new breath of colour. Those step by step instructions you gave are very good.
  17. Well they do say air travel is safer than riding in a car.
  18. thats frikken insane stuff
  19. hahahaha bizkit is funny. Was at DS yesterday late-ish, you guys must have packed it in already. Even so, it looked pretty rad. Although there was a smallish number of competitors. Is this track open for public use, does anyone know?
  20. Last night I did a 3:59:001. I know it sounds unrealistic. It was muddy and I had a flat towards the end. Then I was woken up by my wife, she said I was kicking her in a cycling motion.
  21. I'm going to have to try that sub 7 soon. This talk of fast riding is making my ears tingle
  22. Mmmmm conversation is getting intense - pffffft wahahah
  23. Ja thats the problem. I don't wanna really get to the top and find its a 500m ride! The effort has to be worth or more than the reward. Shot for info
  24. Banna I started about 2 yrs ago coming from XC (and i am a late 30'ies laaitie), we started small and progressed. Now I can keep my balance! It's a really cool way to ride, not that I can do 5m gaps and 4m drops at all. The rock drop at Boomslang in Tokai was my first obstacle and victory and it took me a few months to conquer it. Now it's a breeze and even the triple jumps in DH3 Tokai. So, it's never too late. My small chirp from the side.
  25. Have any of you guys been to the top, top section past the substation (and obviously rode down it). Is it worth the effort getting up? My fitness levels are so low I struggle to change gears in my car without wheezing.
