  1. And 426? Red Tri-suit with Specsavers top. Black helmet. Polar armband.
  2. Never mind... I just bought the Polar RS800CX Multi for R6,450.00 Hope it's worth it!
  4. This is a more specific question than the usual Garmin vs Polar debate. I looked at the Garmin Forerunner 405 but the battery life is ridiculously short. Apparently only 8 hours. If that is the case not even Raynard Tissink would be able to use it for the Ironman. Can anyone confirm this? And also does the whole watch go dead after 8 hours meaning you have to get to a charger in order to see the time again? The other option for purposes of triathlon / Ironman is the Polar R800cx with the G3 GPS. Except for the size of the G3 unit, how long does the battery last as I also heard it averages 15 hours on 1 x AA battery. It might take me longer to finish the Ironman (hopefully not) which means this is also not going to work. Does the G3 work well in the swimming leg? I see there's an option on a lithium-iron battery but can't find more info on it. Any experts here??
  5. I need to buy a Tri-suit urgently and would like to know where I can get a good variety to choose from. I prefer not to go for the Orca brand and would rather want to use the Jaggad Iron Tri suit. Can't find anything on the web except for Swim-Bike-Run and they are out of stock. Anyone who can help, please?
  6. Maybe I can try it out at one of the cycle shops... Not sure if they'll let me. If I can ride on the roller at a heart rate of between 55% and 65% it would be more than enough.
  7. I also have it that the indoor trainers should not be used with a carbon bike on it. OK... So I'll put this on my wanted list. But definitely the Elite parabolic rollers. I really only need this for low resistance easy spinning. What happens if you ride of it?
  8. SwissVan, I want it for fitness training, but if I'm getting a normal indoor trainer, I'm not sure how much wear and tear your bike takes over time and might have to consider then buying a cheaper type of bike also. Is the rollers more often used for balance and tecnique training rahter than fitness training?
  9. Jip!!! I'm comparing this to an indoor trainer. The thing is, I don't want to ride with my Felt B12 on an indoor trainer but need the time in the saddle. I gatvol for spinning.
  10. I need advice on roller trainers. Below is an advert on one. How comfortable is it to ride on these? The last thing I want is to ride through my flat screen into the wall when riding of one of these rollers. 16. Thanks Tarmac! Was my first time round and got dropped after 35mins from Scratch+1. It was tough riding in the wind but managed to do 38.5km's in 1h03min. Will be back next week.
  17. How many km's in a lap at Killarney?
  18. I've sold mine for R4,400 2 weeks ago. It was a 2008 model +-2,500km's on it with pedals, pump, bottle cage, bike computer (cheap one) on it. I got R4,400 for the whole deal which is a decent price to offer if the bike is in good condition.
