  1. Looking at some of these pictures.... Do they really make you attached those stupid mountain bike style number boards to your handle bars in this race?? Idiotic.
  2. Ultra Di2 upgrade kit please. Shifters, Derailleurs, battery & cables only.
  3. I did something similar. Take lemon peel and soak in vinegar. Stick over wart as often as possible. couple of days... Voila.
  4. Bought some camelback water bottles at Solomon’s. Why do they insist on putting those stupid paper price stickers that you can’t peel off and leave behind a sticky residue for years??
  5. I would have settled for a decent shoulder on cedar road...instead of the moerse pavement no one uses.
  6. You never mentioned your budget but this just came up. Know the bike and the seller and can vouch for both. https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/329287-cannondale-supersix-carbon-road-bike-54cm/
  7. Might also be ITB related. My bike setup hasn't changed in 2 years and recently ramped up milage back to 250km+ a week from a long lazy on/off winter and guess what, pain on the outside of the knee within the first 10km of a ride...no pain whatsoever during the day. And of course this would happen in the 2 weeks before the amashova!!
  8. No problem. I used to run 10spd DA derailleurs, 10sp Sram cassette and chain with 11sp DA cranks, worked beautifully. However 10sp chain with 11sp casette will probably not work as Nordic pointed out as the chain is narrower.
  9. Read yesterday that he's probably heading back to Dimension Data
  10. Unfortunately I don't have much info on the bike but spotted a chap this morning riding a mostly white bike (probably carbon from the shape) on bowling drive. What struck me as odd is that the bike had tri-bars and a race number on the seat post.
  11. With regards to insurance, I know my cyclessure policy has some add on event insurance if you cannot participate. Not sure the T&C of that and if it would pay in this case but may be worth looking into if you have bike insurance.
  12. Was going to start a new thread but this seems like a logical place to post this. I have a stages power meter on my bike and on my IDT this morning trying hit those numbers I realised that there is quite a lot of fluctuation in power output even though the cadence and gear selection are constant. Now some of that can probably be put down to pedalling style but it got me wondering... As you are trying maintain a certain power output and given that the measurement is only taken from the left leg and doubled is there a possibility that you are actually creating a power imbalance favouring the left leg as that would theoretically give you a higher power output? By purposefully only pedalling with one or the other leg you can vary the power output by up to about 100w.
