  1. That 27.5 Anthem is also a very good looking bike. Was one standing next to my advanced Anthem when i bought it. You will enjoy it. Congrats
  2. Eina. Now you can say that your wife asked you to take the rubbish out and you did not listen.
  3. Mud and bikes = expensive repairs so I don't do it. ( very expensive) You can also see it on trails where guys have ridden in mud and left tyre tracks. They are a pain to ride over.
  4. Yes that down hill was hairy at speed, your front and back wheels want to go in different directions. You come off on that at speed and you'll find your teeth somewhere on the N14.

    Stolen trek

Well my 3 year old beats me hands down and he has normally achieved this by 7am everyday

    Stolen trek

I don't reckon your wife would catch him, from the looks of it I would say he starts in "A" batch.
  7. The half marathon was very good. I have ridden at Hakahana often. Saturday was like riding at a new venue. Doing a number of the trails in reverse was nice. Funny thing was as soon as I got to sections I knew and thought ok now we go this way it would change and I enjoyed that. Kept one guessing. There was also a lot of single track that I haven't ridden before. As good as the Cullinan race was this race was a couple of notches above that. I would love to say that I hate The Rhinkals climb but that climb and me have some unfinished issues. So for now I can't hate Rhinkals. So far the score is Rhinkals 10 Muggins 0 and a buckled front rim in terms of riding it from bottom to top with out putting a foot down.
  8. Were you the lady at the top right where that cobble down hill started? What happened? Hope your ankle heals quickly.
  9. Sorry to hear. We also did that kia night race last wednesday night. Were you insured
  10. I have a brand new set of racing ralph 29er tyres, not snake skin. In midrand.
  11. Wessel Is there a reason for the nearly 2 month gap between race #2 and #3 or is that just the way the chips fall.
  12. Martin I have just checked now and I have now been added and have a time. In my email to them I gave them my starting batch and elapsed time and they have entered it. The elapsed time is from when your race started to when you crossed the finish line. I also gave them my race number. Good luck, they are obviously getting our emails. Catch you at the next race.
  13. Martin No I have not had any luck yet. Problem is the only way to contact Jumpertrax is by email. I have sent them 2 emails but have had no luck so far. I'll give them a day or two. Will let you know what comes of it. I don't see why we must put this down to a bad experience. I am sure they will sort it out but I am not going to be amused if they don't sort it out.
  14. We'll now that Nissan Trailseeker #2 is out the way let's see what #3 throws at us. This race was enjoyable. As Quincy mentioned it was good doing some of the trails in reverse, have also ridden there a lot and it gives it a completely different feel. Big thumbs up to all that organized this race.
  15. Hills Hills Hills and more Hills is what this game is all about. Then just when you think you have it in the bag as far as hills go then you get Hakahana hills thrown at you. But I must say still my favorite mtb trail.
  16. Well Johan only old numb nuts here has this sort of luck.
  17. Well I did the half marathon at Hakahana yesterday. Second time in the saddle with this bike. Oh hell yes this bike is the business. That 2x10 gear set is brilliant. I honestly thought coming from 3x10 to 2x10 was going to be a big problem but it is a big advantage. A serious big thank you to everyone that recommended I go with the Giant in the beginning of this thread.
  18. I think I'll call myself the ghost rider from here on out. The rider that was there but wasn't.
  19. I can only assume that when I went into the catchment area the scanner did not register me. Odd because as he scanned my number he still asked if my name was Greg and I replied yes.
  20. Thats where i went but i am not there. Not even as a no show or did not finish. I remember with the Cullinan race getting my results sms to me within 45 minutes. This time i didn't so I went to their site. My riding buddy got his results sms to him.
  21. Photomarx were not there. They sent an email saying that it's not worth while doing it because it costs them more money than what they make. How does one get hold of Jumpertrax.?
  22. Well I did the half marathon, but I can't find my name on the results list. It's as though I have just vanished, a bloody ghost. I was there on time the guy scanned my number board and still said my name to me. Besides that the half marathon was a good ride.
  23. My hard tail is a Scott Scale 960. After riding the Advanced Anthem for my first race I can tell you I felt fine after the race. The bike is super comfortable. I reckon it would be the perfect ride for a marathon.
  24. As far as I understand it you can move down batches. You would just have to tell them before the race so they have it on their system, I assume a day or two before the race and not 40 minutes before the race. That way your time would be measured as your actual race time and not starting in B batch and finishing F batch when you started with F batch.
