  1. Next up is to strip the parts off of the donour bike and see what's going to be used and what's going to be replaced. Also need to decide on a new colour for the frame and get that sent off for spray painting. Will update as progress is made.
  2. Sometimes what's been done can't simply be undone
  3. All good but I am going to have the frame sprayed so the first thing is to get rid of the cable guides on the top tube, etc. A quick Google search and I'm reaching for my Dremel tool! Turned out to be easier than what I thought but SLOWLY is the key, once you've cut you can't just put it back. Using the Dremel and 2 files I removed the guides that I didn't want, literally took a Sunday morning.
  4. Having in a moment of madness sold my On-One Inbred to a very good mate (and fellow hubber) I needed to build another SS. I've got a really nice donour bike lined up for the crankset, wheels, etc. BUT given that I built it for an ex of mine it's a size small! Put the word out and I get a frame donated for free, nada, zilch - a brand new never been built or ridden Raleigh RM5 aluminium frame. Awesome, just one problem, it's disk brake only and the donour bike isn't; no worries I'll sort that out as the build goes along.
  5. Awesome stuff!
  6. New to the forum but that absolutely rocks! Truly impressive - well done!!
