  1. Doug has very clearly explained how it would work on page 2 of this thread. The answers to your questions are there. I looked on Jenson and the $61 brakes I believe you are referring to are mechanical (cable actuated), not hydraulic brakes, if that makes any difference to you. I have a set of almost new (were on a barely ridden wife's bike) set of Shimano Deore hydraulic brakes I will sell if you are interested. They are just like these - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=38418. Let me know if you are interested. Sorry for the hijack, Doug
  2. Thanks! Thats awesome! You are welcome - and of course, don't forget about eBay!
  3. I left the USA in 05, sold my 4 year old Chrysler Grand Voyageur for the equivalent of R35,000. Figured I would get one when I got here. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered even a used one would cost me 10 times that much!!!
  4. Here's come of the better cycling websites to buy stuff in the USA... www.nashbar.com www.cambriabike.com www.coloradocyclist.com www.jensonusa.com www.performancebike.com www.pricepoint.com www.airbomb.com Have fun!
  5. Batteries are good - recently replaced them.
  6. Not sure if this is exactly the correct forum, but was wondering if anyone else had run across this problem and found a solution yet. I have a Polar s720i which I download to my laptop with Windows XP (have to do it to that one as it is not compatible with my Vista laptop) via a USB infrared device (Polar). About 3 months ago, it suddenly stopped allowing me to download - I've gotten different error messages, and sometimes it will even start the download, but never completes it. I've been on various Polar forums, and seems a lot of people have experienced this problem, but haven't found a solution yet. Anyone else out there found one?BigTom2009-11-26 05:37:47
  7. What colour is the bike?
  8. What does the "seach" box do? Sorry, just could resist since it was a thread you started on spelling...
  9. Maybe it's just me, but does it bother anyone else when people post items for sale as "brand new" and then say it has only been used a few times? I thought the definition of "brand new" meant unused. Just wondering...
