  1. Thanks for the gen, I would like to witness a successful loop!
  2. Post 11510 above, apparently not. It is super high, would take huge "cajones" to pull that off. Rampage material, a world of hurt to get it wrong. Love your part of the world Swiss, but finding awesome trails down here too.
  3. First visit to GRTP, wonderful, very fine job done by them folks there. Has anyone ridden this loop? Successfully that is.
  4. I am lucky, that is but a small bit of it. Morning sunrise over the Outeniquas is special from my garden!
  5. We sit around this thing, then eat of the charcoal braai by 1900 and then sit and kuier long time around this thing again!
  6. How do like the track? I enjoy it a lot. I was at the Motorcycle Festivals this year and last. Not the same as a track day or racing but I luckily had two great sessions on a Yammie MT09 with a cool marshall fellow that allowed a decent pace. Last year my best sessions were on a BM 1200 RS boxer and the Africa Twin of all things!
  7. Some of the beautiful views, this toward Cradock Peak. The Voortrekker Historic Pass again. To think the original traffic was ox wagons in the 1770s
  8. It was, and also a difficult ride. Some parts of the descent I walked the bike in first gear, engine off, controlling my progress with the clutch. I am lucky to have many awesome roads around me to enjoy on my little green Fugly. Swartburg Pass, Prince Alfred Pass, Kamanasie Road, Seven Passes, all in my area.
  9. Was lucky enough to ride the Old Voortrekker Path from Louvain to Bergplaas yesterday. Beautiful ride.
  10. Awesome, just how the Missus and I go hiking......with the coffee kit!
  11. Hi All Anyone have any recommendations for fellows who are knowledgeable on electrical problems on old bikes along the Garden Route. Secondly, any ideas where I may be able to get some coils for my 1995 FZR 1000. First choice is after market new ones then second hand original. (Just thinking that coils may be the problem) Thanks in advance. Edited to add content.
  12. Thor, our year old Bull Mastiff and his sidekick, Freya, a 6 month old Special Blend, just spotted some gulls at Kaaimans. Playing together, a few months back. Thor looking every bit demonic! He is a gentle giant.
  13. Ha ha, won't happen! Here is my 75 CB 400f, also not a candidate for the cafe chop!
  14. East of Hoekwil, took the long route to Sedgfield to pick up some Knysna beer!
  15. I like this too, but I would need a poor condition one to start with. This is my 83 CB750, just cannot cafe this machine!
  16. Between Hoekwil and Sedgefield, south of Seven Passes road.
  17. Heal up man, strength to you for the recovery.
  18. Just moved to the Wilderness area (Hoekwil) at the end of November, still exploring my surrounds. This is the Garden Route Dam, beautiful trail network here.
  19. Thursday, leaving Phuket, had to wait for this fellow to land!
  20. New to the Wilderness, was out exploring my surrounds. Map of Africa launch site here. This looks like a sport to try!
  21. Cows seem to enjoy looking at bikes. I have some from Northern Farm, quite nice. Down near Hoekwil on my rides the cows come over too if I stop for pics. Maybe just inquisitive beasts! Edited.....spelling, finger trouble.
  22. Just moved from Joburg down to Wilderness. Exploring my new surrounds. This on the farm roads off The Seven Passes road.
  23. Very lekka, classic view. Long time since I have been down here.
  24. In my chosen career my wife has offered so much support, enduring the struggling times of being newly qualified years ago, normal to many, high study debt, low income. However, despite all her support, this here wing, and its opposite number, provide all the support I need at 45000ft.!
  25. Edited....deleted double post. Finger trouble!
