  1. JURA is the way forward if you are looking for a decent bean to cup machine.
  2. Hi All I am looking for a GPX file for the Van Gaalen Greek Church Loop, does anyone have a recent one? I have downloaded the openmtb routes however they do not seem to be very accurate if I compare it to some routes on strava? Thanks
  3. For the price paid I think it was good value for money Agreed on the clamp not being the best though...
  4. Am quite impressed with the stand, much better quality than initially expected.
  5. Thanks for the info.
  6. I am looking at getting the Tork Bicycle Repair Stand, does anyone have one and if you do are you happy with it? Or is there something else in the same price range <1K that's better?
  7. Not that I'm aware of, will do some searches. =)
  8. My main aim is to target the core devices iPhone, Android and Windows Phone so this should cover the core devices.
  9. Those are typically just rare earth magnets, got myself one for less than R 10 and it seems to work like a charm. =)
  10. Did you come right with this? I am having a problem that my crank arm is just too far away for the sensor and hoping a magnet like this will sort it out?
  11. I like this idea, will add it to the list. Could potentially look at adding some sort of SOS functionality if you have not moved location in a pre-defined time.
  12. I will be looking at a free and paid version if it is feasible. For the top 10 rival list would it be people you usually cycle with (Cycle Group e.t.c) or across all members?
  13. Hi All I am looking at creating a local version of something similar to strava/mapmyride/ridewithgps with some very unique features that I have not seen on any of these sites yet. At this point I am trying to ascertain what the interest would be in a local version of something like this before I pursue it further. If there are any specific features you would love to see in something like this please PM me and I can add them to the feature list if they add value. Thanks
  14. Lots of averages in there =) i.e. measurements not accurate at all...
  15. That's a good deal!
  16. Thanks for all the suggestions! Is there a good site where I can get the GPX files from? Does not seem like http://openmtbmap.org/ has the Drakensberg routes in or am I just missing them?
  17. I recently went from using my Garmin Forerunner 310XT to log my rides to the Garmin Edge 810 however I seen massive differences in the estimated calorie burn between the two. The Edge unit is reporting 3x less than my Forerunner. I have checked and my profile is the same on both, anyone ever see this?
  18. Are there any good places to stay in the Northern Drakensberg that have good MTB trails close by? I am looking at arranging a MTB weekend away with some mates in the Drakensberg or surrounding. I see The Cavern Berg Resort seems to have a few trails departing from there, we are looking for beginner to intermediate trails. Thanks in advance!
  19. Going to stick with my current 26" for now after riding both bikes again. Thanks for all the input to everyone!
  20. Thanks for all the advice, tips and suggestions, think I might go back and take them both for a spin again to see how they feel =), though it's always challenging riding them at the bike shops as you do not get the full feel for the bike.
  21. Ok, so I rode both and the 29er feels like a tank, so going to go with the 27.5. Thanks for all the advice.
  22. I am looking at insuring my Merida TFS500 MTB and cycle kit.
  23. Thanks for the advice, the 27.5 and 29 cost the same at Cyclelab. One thing I keep reading is the 29" is not very agile with tight cornering, is it really that much worse? Miss the days when you only had one option for wheel size
  24. I'm looking at upgrading my current Merida TFS500 26" to either a 27.5 or 29". I'm 183cm and mostly ride Northern Farm/Riet Vlei etc. There seems to be quite a lot of conflicting info our there but from what I gather the 27.5 is the sweet spot? Any suggestions on the two sizes? I was looking at either the Merida Big 7 or Big 9 TFS500.
