  9. the situation is currently as follow: just past the 30 km mark and the bunch is already split in 4. Barloworld and the Polish team is motoring. There's about 15 guys in that front bunch besideds B/W and Pol, also 3 Medscheme and 1 Neotel rider. second bunch is mostly House of Paint and one B/W rider that didn't made the split. Third bunch is Tiaan Kannemeyer in the front and the 4th bunch is being driven by Phen. The wind is is very strong and about 30 degrees out on the road.
  10. One thing that I've learnt over the years is that you'll never be able to please everybody....but as long as the majority is happy.... There was this particular Dad that swore at me last year at WP TT champs, and Saturday morning he chatted to me as if we were "old" buddies.... you win some....you loose some....life goes on !!

  16. Is the front wheel raise or on the ground? Try putting a phone book under the wheel. Otherwise' date=' think of it as a great excuse to get out of the house and ride! [/quote'] Yes I have the phone book under the wheel and everything else is 100%, set-up, saddle, shoes/cleat-position, good shorts etc Maybe its just me, I tense up even on the trainer But I also prefer the road, but my coach has my on my trainer every Friday morning. He calls it me weekly stress release

  20. about 2 Saturdays ago, we were returning home and there is this silly little traffic circle not far from where I live and a lady from a driving school and her learner got to the circle the same time as we did.....now remember the same rule apply to me as a bike on the road as if a car, yield to the right, lady instructer instructed her learner to continue driving through the circle totally disregarding us as bike riders in the circle at the time.....obviously I made a big racket. But the point I'm trying to make is that the people teaching people do drive, don't have clue...
  21. Really glad you guys are OK and able to tell the story....
  22. thanks Ronelle, couldn't wait to see these pics this morning...wanted to be there so desperately, but have this tiny thing standing in my way called: work
