Is this bike ever going to launch? It's been nearly a year since this post and the news on it is non existent.

I got mine from wahoofitness.co.za. Ordered on the Sunday night. Got it Tuesday morning. The strap is awesome. Works perfectly with my Nexus 5 and have also used it with a TomTom MultiSport. It can do ANT+ and BlueTooth simultaneously. Hope this helps. Tx

How much better are these brakes than the Trance 2 brakes? Is the upgrade worth it?

On another note, does anyone know if the stock fork and shock that come with the bike can have a remote lockout added to them? My brother has the same fork (with less travel) with a remote so it can be done but his Merida HT came like that. I'm not sure if you can get the kits and add them to the shock and\or fork and if so what it entails. The shock is a Fox CTD Evolution and the fork is a Fox 32 Float CTD Evolution. Thanks in advance. Cool. Going to look for some different bottle cages this weekend. I suspect if I get one I can move down a bit (some come with more than 2 holes) I'll be able to get the bottle in.

Found out today that I can't fit a 750ml bottle on my large frame. No biggie. I have a Camelbak.

Thanks christianvz ! Wasn't aware of them being able to do that. I can confirm the Polar H7 can also do dual ANT and Bluetooth 4.0 simultaneously. I'll probably go with the Wahoo TICKR now though as it's cheaper, readily available online and has lights on it to show if its connected etc. Thanks again! Much appreciated!

I can confirm what DJR said... I got mine a few weeks ago. I went to see a few bike shops and they could all get Large ones. They all didn't have any Large ones on the floor and phoned Dragons to check stock. I ended up getting mine from Bridge. Faizel hooked me up with a really good deal. Got it the next day. Love the bike BTW. Its an awesome machine.

I'm with you. They all look great but I'm leaning towards the Polar as it's got the ability to transmit to some of their watches via 5GHz as well as phones via Bluetooth LE. What's not clear is if it can transmit to both at the same time. Bluetooth to phone for Strava and to watch so I can see the heart rate in real time. From the reviews I've read, they are all good with the Wahoo and the Polar in particular getting really good reviews. Tx

Thanks to this thread and all your enthusiasm I'm now the owner of a 650b Trance 2. You guys convinced me so thank you! Got it for a really good price at Bridge Cycles. Less than 22k. Picked it up an hour ago. It looks awesome. That black frame is stunning!

Been toying with that idea too - building up a bike with exactly what I want bolted onto to it. How much is just the frame if you don't mind me asking?

Boy am I glad I found this thread. I'm in the market for a new bike... I hadn't seriously considered a Trance until I read this thread. I've read a lot of reviews and everyone seems to be in agreement - that this is an awesome bike that is reasonably priced. Most of the reviews I've watched and read have been on the 0 and 1 models. Why does South Africa not get the 0 or the 1 models and only get the 2 and the 4 models? Does anyone know a LBS that stocks the 0 or the 1 models? Assuming I get the 2, what upgrades should I ask the friendly LBS to do on the bike? I consensus seems to be a dropper... What else? Thanks!
