Hi Guys. It was a "Lekker" route. The laps were fast and I think that is what eventually got to me. Tayyin: +1 on the cold. At 3 in the morning I called it. It was really cold. Had to get some Zzzzzz! Regarding timing. There must be a more affective system for timing and keeping track of the laps...... Anyway it really was a great race. Thanx guys.

Does anyone have Shimano DX single speed sprocket on and experienced the cog cutting into the hub? I have read that the Gusset sprocket has a broader base. Would this make the Gusset better than the DX Sprocket?

Divernick: when it comes to climbing ability, I always thought I could climb fairly good untill I did the sabie marathon last year........ I almost saw the light. I will not underestimate the terrain again. So reading all the advise I'm starting to think I should try 33/18 and maybe take a bible with.
