Well done - the organisation was much better than last year. Route was a big surprise but very good. The last 20 nearly got me but i survived. Just the U()*()_ who stand with the bicycles in front of the tables? Cant understand why, they arrived in front of me but is still at the tables when i left - Pls get of your bike - get your drink and move on

In for 75. Done the 40 last year. Week later Nissan Lionman marathon and then 2 weeks later Ashburton Van Gaalen Marathon. Need a holiday after that

Enige iemand informasie van n fietsryer wat raakgery is op Zambizi pas na Cullinun net na die winkel sentrum Woensdag so tussen 16:00 en 17:00. Het net stukke van n Fiets gesien met die die polisie wat wat besig was met n verklaring langs die pad. Die voertuig was van die patologiese afdeling en as die wrakstukke van die fiets n indikasie is, glo ek nie die fietsryer het oorleef nie.

Don't forget that 4x4 tannies. The road belongs to them.

Posted by one one of my fellow runner friends: Fellow "Klapperkoppers", be careful out there! Sunday Werner, Marna and I ran to Klapperkop, we ran at 15h00, due to church in the morning. Jonty joined us on his bike and was going out and back to do some training Jonty cycled towards us (front) and said there were zebras ahead, which made us all focus on about 250m ahead of us, I could see a man, taking photos of the view and zebra. Suddenly there was 3 men and they looked to be having a scuffle, initially looked like they were all together, but there was random panic, we could not really tell who were the good guys or the bad. Werner was shouting which seemed to have scared them off, when we got there, they had been trying to rape the woman (odd) but she was getting dressed and there was another man with her, bleeding, iphoneless and rather upset. It looked like our arrival had saved the situation for them, I was glad that it had not turned out worse for the couple! They are a lovely couple and I was glad to have been there to help them. I think they were from out of town, as they did not know where the police station was. Be careful out there!

Just recieved on facebook. It seems like yesterday afternoon Another robbery at Klapperkop -three males armed with knifes, robbed visitors of their cellphones and ran in the direction of the mtb track next to George Storrar rd. One wearing red, the other black and the third camo tops. Cyclists be ware...it happened just before 17:00. They were chased by another cyclist but they got away.

Riding the route regular in the afternoons and sat Mornings. So far no problems - the road is busy so the possibility for an attack is limited.

Thanx, Wessel and the guys from Advendurance for a well organized race. Compliments to the second last water stop, that kids done well with the lubricant and cleaning of the glasses and that ice was welcome.

Excellent. Just sorry about the profile but further a good experience, Two big rocky climbs and one great decent. The single road at the end was excelent. Will be back next year. My first marathon, no falls, no brake downs, under 5 hours,nice weather, lot of sand, no mud or waterholes, Total Ascent 810 m Total Descent 814 m Distance 74 km
