  1. I am from BOMB Centurion. If nobody needs this, then we can certainly use this. Please have a look at facebook.com/bombcenturion to see what we do. If someone can bring the parcel to Centurion, then we will be grateful.
  2. I have an XT hub for him. Will send pm with details. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  3. Hi, I have a few sets. None of them perfect, but all still usable. They all have some noise from bearings that are not 100% anymore. If you are interested you can come and have a look. Cheers
  4. Hi Pk, I have a few hubs lying around waiting for a build, but you are more than welcome to have a look. How many holes? Cheers
  5. OK, I have one. Send me a PM and we can arrange collection.
  6. Hi, I have a few seatposts in the workshop. Will check if there is a 29.6. Will only be able to check tonight. Please send me a PM reminder if you did not hear from me by Saturday morning.
  7. I have a few posts of different diameter. Unfortunately out of town until Friday. I can have a look for you then.
  8. Hi, I will take all your 9 speed stuff and all your 26" stuff. We build bikes and donate it to the needy. I am unfortunately just out of town for the week, but can possibly get it from you during the next week. Thanks
  9. I have these. Contact me with a PM if you want any of these.
  10. I have a few saddles. Not sure what makes it a specific road saddle? I am more into MTB. I can send a few pics if you want. I am in Clubview, Centurion. Check us out on facebook.com/bombcenturion
  11. Amazing story. Scary on all levels. Do you guys see the Miracle?
  12. Hi Guys and Gals, I have an extra Trans Baviaans 2014 Medal. I guess it got mixed up somewhere. If anybody lost theirs, I have it. Pls PM if it is yours. I have it in Centurion. btw - Tough but awesome race!
  13. Excellent! You are doing a wonderful job. I've also donated a few bikes that I build and the appreciation is priceless! Keep it going!
  14. Brilliant outing. I did the 12 hour solo with a good friend. We managed a cool 12 rounds. The last few rounds were - well - COLD! Excellent organisation by the Cows. Well done!
  15. I went to Rapide for a fork, cogs (16, 17 and 18 t), spacers, halflink chain and on-one chain tensioner. It was a simple online purchase with smooth delivery without paying an arm and a leg. I went for cheaper, stronger, heavier wheels. I guess also because of the worry about the punishment the rigid fork will transfer to the rims. I lost the tensioner because it is noisy and the looks is just much cleaner without it. Happy building! Give me a shout when you want to ride. I do most of my riding in Centurion area.
  16. Hope you finished this build? JC and Routjie helped me a lot with advice on my build. I've done almost a 1000 no nonsense km's on her since then. Must say, I do enjoy the SS fraternity. :-)
  17. Excellent project. Well done.
  18. OK, I now have a chain breaker that can do the trick. I invested in a Park tool CT-3.2. Problem solved. http://www.wigglestatic.com/product-media/5360083532/3396779104b26cc02d52ed48f9bbe67245406483_800x700.jpg?w=800&h=800&a=7

  20. Speedy services!!! Sorted the R75 out within a minute or 2 via email. Fantastic. Hope the race is just as good as this service!
  21. I am still having the same issue while trying to register. I popped them a mail. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. This profile looks like a Single Speed profile
  22. I guess I can do away with the tensioner, but I do change between a 16 and 17 teeth at the back and with the tensioner there is no need to adjust the chain length. Eventually the chain will also stretch and the tensioner will take care of that as well. I know the look is not as clean as I would have preferred, but it does make my life easier while I am still trying out gear ratios.
  23. Very nice SS! I wish you lots of shift-free miles!
  24. Thanks Beesrib. I enjoyed building it. It is a nice 9.8 Kg's, so a good ride as well.
  25. I managed to finish my first SS build. Most of it were sourced from fellow hubbers. I got the frame, seatpost and seat from Muviman. The brakes are from kvdp. The leather grips are from BBN. Half link chain, chain tensioner, fork, cogs and spacers from Kiwi's shop, Rapide. Handelbar, stem and pedals from Bicicletta. Wheels from Family cycles in Centurion. Crankset from Torx in Centurion. LOTS of help received from rouxie and jcmeyerSS. I already did about 150 km of nice dirt with it. Had some chain slip for the first 50km, but it settled after that and from there it was just one huge pleasure. We did lots of mud and it was a liberation not to worry about gearshifts and huge maintenance afterwards.
