anyone have the Kenda Kwick Seal tube? i was just informed that my LBS only stocks the Kenda, and not the "Slime Smart Tube" anymore.

will go tubeless. but not now. still new to the sport, and the initial costs are a bit much. thought i would do the conversion to tubeless once i need to replace the tyres that came with the bike. makes the most sense to me

when buying new tubes for the mtb, what is the best option? NB - i dont have tubless tyres. are these Slime Smart Tubes the best option? thanks

anyone's mr price shoes still in one piece? at R480 i am considering it. i am fully aware that i will have to buy a new/better pair of shoes in 12months or so. but im happy doing that. what i dont want to do is spend alot of money on my first pair of mtb shoes, knowing they are going to take abuse (noob-abuse) i'll rather abuse a cheap pair now - get use to spd pedals and clipping in - and then upgrade to a nicer pair.

im insured with miway. but all my stuff - 2cars,household,wife's engagement ring, and then the mtb. i dont even know what my policy's details are. will go and have a look tonight. i know i read previously that they only payout R8k if the bike is stolen from an outside building like a garage - but i might be wrong. my bike was exactly R8k, and it currently sleeps in the house.

so ja, im new to the sport and there is just such alot of stuff to buy. cant do it all in one go, will take a couple of months. a bike rack is currently last on the list. so at the moment i collapse my car's seats, take the front wheel off the bike and my 29er just (net-net) manages to fit into my car. fyi i own a ford figo, so its no the biggest car. i understand that some of you will feel the need to suggest i buy either a bigger car / or a smaller bike (aka 26er). thanks in advance for your contribution. but i saw this video on youtube, and was wondering if anyone has tried this?

maybe a bit of the topic, but maybe someone can help me with this problem. i was a ppa member while i was still in school. completed 2 argus's then. then sometime later i joined again, but by that time the new SA id nrs have been issued. so my old ppa number is linked to one id number, and the new ppa number is linked to my current id number. i now want to rejoin again, but want to use the first ppa number cause on that number i have on record that i completed the argus twice while i was in school. so i email ppa about this, asking them to change my id number, so that i can reuse the that ppa number. but i have had no reply's yet. anyone know of someone at the ppa that i can contact directly? Thanks

New to mtb'ing, and went to the trail on thursday. Very happy to say that I bought a day permit. Our group was stopped by members to check for our permit boards. I actually liked it. Im am definitely planning on joining, and think I will also become one of those nosey members who checks for permit boards. Someone sais that the fee is 450 for the year, but someone said its 300 for 9 months? Does the fee get reduced pro-rate? Second question, everyone is raving about the Tygerberg mtb clubs trails (meerendal etc). How does bottelary hills compare to those trails?

Used it yesterday morning, and will use it again. Went pass a couple of what looked like farm-workers houses, but everyone was still sleeping when i passed. also no dogs.
