  1. It is rather frustrating when you wave at someone and they give you the "I would run you over with my car" look... and carry on riding like you didnt just wave at them....
  2. Sorry gents, I am a day late (Day to your advantage).. Only saw this this morning, and its exactly what I need, a little healthy competition. I have registered just now, and will be pushing it hard! Kind Regards, Tim
  3. Thanks All, I do agree the rest of the pics does clearly have weld lines. My references where specially only to gallery photos further down the page which showed a close up of the bottle cage in the front triangle. None the less, exciting if they do have this 2nd bottle mount for the AC. Many sources with various answers.. I am optimistic...
  4. Not on this photo indicating the double bottle cage, which is listed in thier AC gallary. You can see where the top tube meets the down tube. Further the suspension pivot mount on the down tube. You can also tell on the upright tube the carbon fiber lap lines, I have the same ones on my Spec StumpJumper Carbon HT. In my opinion, and I could be wrong, but this is a carbon bike... Which would match up with the feedback I got from Momsen prior to this review being posted.
  5. P.S... I looked at that link, a bit blind from Momsen for putting that photo up as you can see thats the carbon front triangle and not the Alloy one (No welding lines...)
  6. Thanks for the feedback team, looking forward to what they say... Its a bit silly to have the AC NOT have the dual bottle cage, that to me is a HUGE plus to this bike. I dont like backpacks, and sticking bottles in my back pockets.. My only drawing card to an Epic, which I cant afford as they are ridiculously over priced for what you get...
  7. "Differences versus the 2016 model? Looking at only the frame the most significant change is the inclusion of a second bottle cage mount in the front triangle (M, L and XL only)." Not so sure this is correct, I mailed Momsen asking specifically about this and they said it was not included in the AC version of the frame. You can even see in the photos as well that they dont have the bolt holes on the upright of the front triangle to be able to attach their special adapter for the additonal bottle holder... Having said this, amazing looking bike!!
  8. Put on some overalls and pretend you are a technician to fix up some bikes at Virgin Active....
  9. Lots of "quotes," and some grammar not being used correctly here... For a forum on such a drive to enforce T&C's and deliver quality content, its strange that a "news" related post could be posted with such bad proofing beforehand.
  10. Not a provoking question, but a genuine one... What is doing is properly with regards to buying a car with a residual "Balloon Payment"...? I never opted for this when I bought my car 3 years ago, I have a little less than 3 years left to pay... and I am SUPER stoked now that I never went and took a Balloon Payment... could never figure out in my head or on paper how that would work out in a positive for me?
  11. HI Hubbers, Anyone know when Bryton are going to be releasing the new 400 series cycling GPS?? Been watching the site, and it only says 2015. Web searching have not yielded any results either.... Kind Regards, Tim
  12. I had a Giant XTC Carbon Composite 1.. 2012 model.... I was doing the Hill 2 Hill in 2013, bombing down a hill at about 27-35 KMp/h when my front wheel disappeared into a crack which was eroded away from the rain. I broke my frame at the head stock where the top tube and down tube met, crushed it on both tubes as the fork and wheel folder under my bike.. It also cracked the upright tube (seat post tube) and down tube both sides of the BB... Needless to say, frame was toast.... In this accident I could not have seen ALU having any further benefits... ANYWHO... I though I could get back on the bike and at least finish the race verse having to quite.... So got back on the bike and started coasting down the hill... Picked up a bit to much speed a bit further down the hill and wanted to feather the brakes... front break locked up and again folded under the bike as it had no rigidity.... I went flying, again!!!, and then this time broke my collarbone... This time retiring from the race... hahahahaha I had no problem buying another carbon frame.. Biggest difference for me is the feel of a carbon frame in terms of vibrations, this you will notice on longer marathon rides specifically.... Same goes for carbon stems, seat posts, handlebars.. etc... its not so much the weight you save as the comfort of it feel and less fatigue on the body... Having said all the above, cracks do happen and I dont mind this... BUT I will NEVER buy a secondhand carbon frame as you loose the warranty and it becomes dead weight without it... My opinion is that the heavy premium you pay for a new carbon frame at a shop is for the fact that the brand my have to replace that frame more likely than and ALU (even though they also get cracks)... For this I cant see why second hand carbon frames charge a premium as you get no value from it in terms of support... PS that video was very interesting..... All my 2c...
  13. I have been having issues with my nipples.... My wheels nipples that is Anywho, just over a year old and with having been tubeless they are corroding and breaking... Had one in the back and one in the front within a month and a bit of each other... Each time taken just the wheel in and they replaced it for me without having to do much to the wheel except just truing it. When I get the bucks and the next one breaks I will get wheel rebuilt with new nipples completely as they going to fail one by one now... and will be cheaper to replace them all in once go verse the 100-150 they charge for labor and nipples. Then I should be good for a long time on those...
  14. You dont need to get the whole wheel rebuilt.. Just take in and get spoke replaced + wheel truing... Is this for a road bike or MTB?
  15. I dont know which one you bought... I bought the cheap 130 rand one over a year ago... best thing I ever bought... Cleans my chain very quick... You need to use a good de-greaser, cleans it awesome... MUCH faster than the old toothbrush and hand brush which takes forever... Dont give up yet
