  1. Great flats to start with. Pins aren't too violent.
  2. Don't do it! Just buy local, less headaches. I bought a Smith Rapha Edition helmet from the UK. Paid R3000 including shipping but ended up paying R1800 on top of that in duties and taxes.
  3. You would think DHL’s fees were calculated when the sale was made.
  4. Ok, so ordered the helmet and paid R3600 incl delivery from the UK. Just got a mail from DHL that duties+vat and some random 10% extra is R1800. It’s definitely not worth buying helmets from outside the country.
  5. Doubt it
  6. Unfortunately from US.
  7. Thanks for that.????
  8. Does anyone know if the import duties for mtb helmets have changed like the motorbike helmet tariffs? Attached is a screenshot from the SARS page re motorbike helmets and motorsport helmets but nothing about cycling.
  9. My experience with EVO Bikes has also been excellent.
  10. Ordered shirt from CRC 2 weeks ago. No tracking info on SKYNET site. Contacted CRC, they contacted SKYNET who said that there's a problem with my address(Been living there for 7 years). Also informed CRC about the ridiculous fees charged by SKYNET and CRC's response was just a lame apology for the delay, nothing about the fees. The shirt now costs more with their admin fees than it would have costed locally.
  11. Ride one..you'll love it! Yes, they definitely don't belong in races or on Strava but if you're like me who rides for the pleasure of riding and enjoys bombing down a hill but hate going up the hills then an e-bike is the perfect piece of equipment. I've seen a bunch of old ballies in their 60s and 70s on e-bikes having a jol. If it wasn't for the e-bikes they'd probably be sitting at home, watching golf on the TV. If you can afford one, get it!
  12. Eventually got myself a Rocky Mountain Brand new 2014 Altitude...with full warranty at an awesome price...thank you mr store room who misplaced the box
  13. I had a kidney stone about 3 years ago. Thought it was a pulled muscle in my back. Went to the chiro, Voltaren injections in my back everyday for 2 weeks but nothing helped. Then one night it got so bad i started throwing up from the pain. Decided to go to a doctor the next day but i'm poep scared of doctors so decided to Google natural remedies first. Low and behold I found something. I went to the shops, bought a big bottle of raw apple cider vinegar and had a glass full. Disgusting stuff but I was desperate. Had another glass before bed time. Woke up the next morning, went to the loo and passed it without any discomfort at all. Six months later a friend also developed a kidney stone, crawled on the floor for a week with the pain until she had apple cider vinegar. By the next morning all her pain was gone and so was the stone. Last year another friend went into labour but she had a kidney stone and wasn't allowed to take pain killers. I suggested apple cider vinegar, they bought a bottle and by the next morning before she gave birth the stone was gone. I'm not saying it'll work for everyone but it definitely did for myself and my friends. If anyone does try it, remember, it has to be raw apple cider vinegar, not the clear Robertson type.
  14. I could be wrong but that looks like Cadence on the table in front of Johan Potgieter at Fort William World Cup DH yesterday. Looks like Pottie' s saying "Look mate, it's my Cadence...go get your own".
  15. Hi Steven...from CycloPro, talk to Andrew. As far I know I got the last size 36 blue but they might have other sizes.
  16. Hi...it's the Livewire. They're quite snug fitting bit still flexible.
  17. Got these today...after a long wait...but happy
  18. From where? I want please!
  19. I started using Carbo Fuel about a month ago and I have noticed a massive difference in my riding. I am not fit at all and haven't been doing any more excercise than usual, but my endurance levels have improved drastically. I have one more friend who also started using it and both of us have noticed the difference in our riding compared to the rest of the group. Great taste, great product!
  20. The person I ride with the most has a Cannondale Jekyll and I always struggled keeping up going down technical trails. I still can't go as fast as he does but it's a lot better. The Trance makes it easier to ride a lot better.
  21. GT Karakoram 29er
  22. Yes, got them locally. You're lbs should be able to get them from Omnico. Did my first ride/hike with them today and I am extremely happy.
