  1. Hey. Long story. I landed up selling my bike before I could go on the trip. I recall buying a ticket during lockdown? Anyway, I never landed up claiming the trip, however, I found the thread on him and his antics and soon realised that I had been scammed. I didn't waste my time taking it up with him based on all the thread comments so that's probably why he reached out to me (thinking I would be interested). The money lost was relatively small also, but looking back on it. I should have known better. The value proposition was not proportionate to the price charged. I tried commenting now. There is a captcha error. I reported his website to Google but I see it's still active. That chap is a skellem. Hope he gets caught one day!
  2. That idiot, Tuan, from Africranks had the cheek to send me a gift voucher last week. I told him he's a scam artist to which he responded, no no, it's all a misunderstanding and he's a genuine operator. I replied and said if he's genuine, then instead of a voucher, he can refund me...he's been silent since...lol. I was looking at his website, he conveniently disabled the comments functionality so you can't even warn others about it.
  3. Just found this thread and started reading out of curiosity. Turns out I was scammed...flip. "Adventure Solutions" advertised some really discounted tours back in October 2020. I bought two entries but then landed up selling my MTB not too long after. As such, I couldn't go on the tour anyway. I emailed them and they said no problem, they'll just credit my account for another tour. I only recently got another MTB and see that I still have their response email unread in my inbox. Thought of contacting them sometime to arrange a tour. Seems I would be wasting my time...lol. Thankfully I didn't lose a lot, but still. Skelem!!
  4. Hey howist! I've bought and sold quite a few things on the Hub over the years. I recently bought some stuff from different sellers and the goods arrived in relatively dirty condition - i.e. the bike must have gone through the trails and the seller simply just took the parts and sold it as is. Personally, it rubs me up the wrong way. As a seller, surely you want your customer to have the best experience when receiving their product? This is tarnished when you open up your lekka 'new' purchase only to find it's literally come off the spruit. My view, be lekka and take a few minutes to clean the goods before you ship 🙏

    Pyga Hyrax

There is a really nice Hyrax on sale at Sprocket & Jack by Rosebank. I believe it is Grant's personal bike.
  6. Howsit, what power meter and store did you order from? I am in the market.
