  1. So loooong in fact that they won't get there this year
  2. My thoughts exactly!
  3. Nope, Ashley Moolman-Passio comes to mind
  4. Some bikes with campy bits hanging in Plum bike shop, Ghent The owner kindly allowed me into his museum in the shop basement, filled with bikes which participated in famous races from 1890 till current.
  5. Thanks Gerald I think with the carnage on the roads of this years TDF we should have a rematch during La Vuelta!
  6. "Never" as in I have not had any issues but am seriously rethinking my commute!
  7. Alarming since I use that road to commute at least 3 times per week... Never had an issue in the past 5 years. Get well soon!
  8. Some useful insight http://www.ridingfeelsgood.com/component-review/hub-showdown-chris-king-hadley-industry-nine-dt-stealth-and-hope/ I'd love a pair of Hadley's but I recon a pair of Hope Pro II EVO's will do a sterling job as well...
  9. I think it would be best to upgrade the complete wheel set. Changing hubs alone might make a difference but taking wheels apart and having them built up again will be a costly exercise. If you want to do it, get one of these laced to a decent set of hoops and sell the old wheels: http://www.ridingfeelsgood.com/component-review/hub-showdown-chris-king-hadley-industry-nine-dt-stealth-and-hope/
  10. These commentator(s) aren't the best during the stage; however they make up for it in the final 2 - 3 km same guy listen from roughly 6 min it's awesome!

  12. I never said 90% of field were on Schwalbe. I said lots of guys rode Schwalbe OEM tires and of all the punctures 90% make it 94.2% were on Schwalbe. I've done a previuos epic on Schwalbe (only front tire) and Crossmark rear. No punctures ever just a burp or 3 on the Schwalbe which had to be pumped again. Views are my humble observations only
  13. I rode in the middle of the pack and made some observations specifically mechanical incidents. Here are some conclusions: Of the 20 - 30 frantic puncture repair attempts I saw, 90% of the guys rode Schwalbe tires; mosly Racing Ralph and Rocket Ron. I think these are the OEM tires they got with their bikes thus perhaps not the snake skin version? Nevertheless these guys had issues... The other 10% mostly Specialised Fast Track? and 1 continental Mountain king. Didn't spot any Maxxis flats. Groupsets: Rear deraileur issues SRAM Cranks that came off (I saw 2x) Shimano XT Anyone else riding with a notepad?
  14. Not my first post... At some point my Hub profile went up in smoke, I resurrected it but lost the post history etc...
  15. Came across this beaut, one of Francesco Moser's bikes, originaly gave it to his mechanic.
