  1. From the pic Gummibear posted is that a phone in the driver's hand or a tree in the background. A phone will cause the bus to drift as it did as the driver was not watching the road. Just speculation but most of my close calls have been where drivers are looking at their phones and don't even see the guy on a bike
  2. I hear you but I just loved everything, except the road kill. The race village was up at the monument with plenty of coffee trailers and food. They were having a wheelchair race when I was there and I think a toddler race after. Somehow I think it's better as parking was a breeze and getting out of the event was also quick. Unlike 94.7 it's a mission in and out and the race village is also some way away from the finish. I hope it's the same setup next year for Tshwane except the start line music wtf????
  3. Rugby world cup final gave lots of oaks gout this morning ????????
  4. I mentally blocked Tom jenkens out of my mind so also missed it in a way.. can't remember Jack but went over without any issues ????
  5. Great race. Well done to the organizers and fellow riders. I had a awesome time on the bike. Looking forward to next year as it is a propper race with some serious fast fast boys.
  6. It's the Tshwane classic so obviously Tshwane will be the collection point. If you are from other side midrand then it's not Tshwane so be prepared to come to Tshwane to collect your number. It will only consume 3 hours of your Strava to come get your number so it won't effect your PB. O and P.S read the mail if you can't collect at the Tshwane collection points you can collect on race morning at the race village. So pukker up and enjoy the ride. See all you AL's there
  7. So her is my take on the classifieds. I was in the market for a second hand bike to train on. Saw a nice Spez come on the market. The guy wanted said price and put 'not negotiable' after it. So what I did was go to Spez and bought a new one for the same price. Sure it was one model down from his second hand. So if you are a chop and believe your sheet is the sh@1ts and don't even want to talk price then GLWTS. Some people advertise their stuff at new prices and then wonder why it does not sell. So to that guy with his Spez that said 'not negotiable' I like my new Spez and that's not negotiable
  8. Andrew, personally I think you need to relook the online store running separate to the physical stores. Was in the store in Pretoria now and there is a huge price difference between the store and online. The store does not carry the online stuff either. Just a bit confusing. Just my opinion and thoughts
  9. I always toss banana peels into the bush or grass. Never use Gu or any bars or stuff. But yip riding around PTA today the litter and junk around is amazing.
  10. Mine is permanently unlocked. Can't see why you would want to lock a fork. It is designed to travel and give maximum traction on the front wheel but traveling. It makes your cockpit neater too without the extra lever. I also found the rockshox lever very sensitive so it would release and lock the fork with the smallest of knocks. Been riding like this unlocked for ages and never miss the lock setting
  11. Check out the Video Fixture. Also MIPS. Got one last year at Solomon's for 800
  12. My question is if your helmet is CPSC certified what makes a 2k helmet better than a 700 Rand CPSC helmet.
  13. Mechanical seems to be the reason here. Just interesting that Tom Dumoulin changed bikes in the 2017 world time trial in Norway before a 3km climb on the course. He recond he could climb 10 seconds faster on a road bike then on a TT bike. Now that's technical
