  1. Will probably be a lot of haters, but the new Anthem looks really good price doesn't look too bad either, R40k for the Anthem 2 29
  2. Fuk... Sure Myles will love that short stem.
  3. The team looks good and I think they are our best riders. Never heard of Sithembiso though. Good luck to all of them!
  4. Although I am only doing the 35km, I am rather worried that I might blow up my legs only having the 36 tooth in the rear.
  5. While we are all here, why don't we all share strategies, tyre pressures, suspension sag, chainring choices, PIN numbers and so on for the upcoming race. Would be interested to hear what everyone is using and WHY. I will only be doing the 35km due to a long layoff from cycling, but I will be riding with a 34T oval ring on a 1x10 setup. 100mm rear travel (25% sag) with 120mm up front (20% sag) and some 2.3 Specialized tyres, Ground Control at 1.5 bar up front and 1.8 bar Renegade in the rear. Thoughts? Tips? I realize the 34 tooth is probably too much for this route, but not too keen on going for a 32 just for one ride Edit: And weighing in at 87kg
  6. I don't get the fact that manufacturers do this. It's a pain in the ass and it would mean that I would never even consider buying a KTM
  7. My advice would be to let her do the pacing, since she is the weaker rider. Don't try and set the pace, as she might end up bonking a long way from the finish line. Take it easy, stop at all the water points, eat and drink a lot, but not too much and break the ride up into smaller segments and take it step by step. It's going to be a tough one
  8. Anyone know if we can see our seeding somehwere?
  9. If it is anything like the USN races they've held, then it's about as technical as a road race. I would say green route difficulty. Love this venue!
  10. I wasn't insinuating that Ariane was stronger than Adelheid, just that I am sad to see them struggling and that Ariane just isn't on form. Must be very disappointing to win 5 years in a row and then just drop off like she has
  11. It's rather disappointing to see that Luthi and Morath are struggling. Nothing against Adelheid, but it just goes to show that experience and an equally strong (or stronger) partner is required to win here. That being said, Araine hasn't been on form since 2015, I feel. Where I always felt she was untouchable, she seems to be struggling to keep up with the rest.
  12. Exactly the problem. People take it as some kind of personal attack if you point out mistakes on their side. But if you post you've got a "Fox" fork on your bike when it's clearly a RockShox, or vice versa, then you are a f****** idiot (my personal favourite being a "Fox RockShox" listed under forks)
  13. The best is when you correct them and they ignore (or delete) your comment!
  14. My personal favourite is misspelled words, such as SRAM. Especially when they post pictures of the bike and the SRAM logo on the components is larger than life, but it still gets posted as "SHRAM".
  15. Love how this thread about not talking about her personal life, has turned into a thread about talking about her personal life Anyway, good to hear that she now has the same coach as Langvad, it obviously worked wonders for Annika so far.
