Not a good analogy at all. The Audi dealership is able to claim their expenses involved in solving a problem under warranty from Audi south Africa, or from the owner if not under warranty. With the bike carrier there is no profit after the initial sale. Ie. There's nothing in it for the shop you didn't support in the first place.
It's R400 to R600 for a stans kit, plus R100 to R200 (expensive shop) for labour. If you need new tyres then R500 to R700 per new tyre. I've done a bit of pricing around last few weeks.
I degrease and relube after each ride, rnr extreme works great, I'm sure most dry lubes will work in winter, and most wet lubes in summer. As for q20 and other non fit for purpose lubes, they seem to be worse off than a dry chain on dusty trails.
They used averages for the distance greater than 30km, so you lose out if you faster than the average. It's like the ANC's wealth distribution theory applied to race times....
ok now i'm a bit concerned about the tyre liners and slime. what is it and what brands are there and what are the pros and cons, etc. i've got friday off so i'll have time to go get this stuff but it might be all for nothing if my car isn't back from the workshop by then.
LOL! got most of that too! do i need more than 1 spare tube? what about a patch kit? shocks pump? camel back sounds like it come in handy? how much do they go for?
